Just a question ...

We had our AOS interview on March 29th, 2010 in Portland, OR. I was approved verbally by the lady at the end of the interview, but did not have my passport stamped or signed any paperwork.

It is now April 20th, and I haven't received anything from them, nor has anything been updated on USCIS ... should I worry?

Does anyone know of a number to call to see if I can find out more information??

Thanks!

Brenda

Not Even a letter confirming that you're approved? After 4 days from my Interview, I received a notice from USCIS confirming that my application was approved and to allow 30 days for my GC to arrive.

It's still 20 days wait till 30 days gone by and then you can call them. Coz normally they send the GC after 2 to 4 weeks.

Just got back from CIS - San Francisco. Greencard Approved!!!

Our interviewer was pretty stern, but professional nonetheless. He asked me the standard questions and told me to settle down when he noticed I was basically fussing over everything he was asking for while my husband was relaxing. I think most of questions were pretty much "standard" - - name, address, etc. One question that I don't think I've read here was - - "do you fight?" we said - - "yes" and he asked when the last time was and we told him it was when we went on this ski-trip...I don't know, but if anything, I think this "verified" the validity of relationship further because a couple who's been together for so long (we've been a couple for nearly 6 years) is likely argue (hahahah). He got my AP, EAD and i-94 and gave us an approval letter and told us that he ordered card production.

I wish I could say more about the interview, but really, I think if your relationship is truly valid - - you wont encounter much problems. It's okay to make mistakes (like I did...I didn't know our home number because it's just a magic jack number we barely use) because the bigger picture will just prove that you're relationship is real.

But I'm not saying it won't be nerve-wracking. But, yeah, as much as possible, be natural. I would think that something TOO perfect or too rehearsed would sound even more bogus, if anything.

Best of luck to the other January Filers!!! Hope to encounter you guys again for the ROC :)
