Difficult that an angel would come to save a banker, especially in this day and age. And do angels really need wings? Only good to about 5,000 feet, then the air gets too thin, but apparently needs them, and some angel gets them whenever you hear a bell ring. Heck, buy an electronic activated bell and sound it off every second.

If your banker went broke, would you give him money? Really hate to think about all the interest I have paid, do have a good sum in the bank today, but only getting pennies in interest, not even keeping up with inflation.

What I remember about that movie the most when was Donna Reed was naked behind that bush, was kind of responsible for making me a horny teenager.

On Hallmark's calendar, Christmas is one day, but on the liturgical calendar, Christmas is a twelve-day feast, ending on the eve of Epiphany. Today is the 2nd day of Christmas.

it is kind of a downer movie all the way to the end, when george's brother announces that george is the richest guy in town meaning he is rich in friends, not money. the movie puts a value on goodwill, service, friendship, family, etc. etc. but it takes the entire movie to get all of this.

Dont forget the angel that get its wings.

I thought it was good movie but I have seen it way too many times.

Ironically, this movie was not available this season on Time Loser cable, even with multiple premium channels....I searched for it on the "program search" and got zero hits. A search of all channels had the same results. One website suggested that NBC broadcasted it on Christmas Eve, but I missed it.

American television programming is now about:

A.) Sales

B.) Prime time royalties

C.) Money

The plot has been lost.....

I will buy a copy of the movie....

Nothing at all scroogie about it. I don't have anything against Xmas, in general, nut it's one day out of 265. The rest of the time is spent in consumerism, like the rest of the year, only on steriods. To call this a season is ridiculous. Ramadan is 30 days long, but no one calls it a season. It's preposturous the lengths some go to to promote the "supremacy" of their holiday over all others, even resisting sharing space with a Menorah or demeaning those who say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas".

I think it's very much in the spirit of "It's a Wonderful Life" - I enjoy that movie immensely

and it will be one of the first I will show to my wife when she gets here in 3 days.

When you hear stories of outrageous misfortune, you will see too that your life is wonderful by contrast.
