My wife and I got our VISA in early November, we are already married (Nov 19, 2009), and we are still trying to get our NOA2 for our K-1 Visa. I tried calling the USCIS about 2 months ago to try and get the NOA2 but they said that we were still in our 5 month application period so they couldn't do anything for me. I decided to use my State Senator and have been going through my congress person for sometime with out any luck, and I am starting to get a little irritated with this whole process. We have everything ready for our AOS Application, but we need that document (At least that is what the USCIS Site says) so basically we are sitting here waiting for them to do something. I called and talked to an immigration officer the other day and they forwarded a request to the California Service Center to issue us the NOA2, so hopefully that will work. They still do not show us as approved for the I-129f Petition at the National Level (USCIS) so something hasn't been updated or something. Does anyone have advice for something we can do, or should I just sit back, relax, and wait??? I have contemplated just sending in the packet without the NOA2 and just wait for the RFE so at least they would have the paperwork there... is that a bad idea? The Immigration Officer at the USCIS seemed to think so!

By state senator you mean the US Senator from your state, correct? The state reps and senators can't get anything done at the federal level.

Have you made an InfoPass appointment to go and talk to someone face to face? This may be more productive.

Yeah I mean the US Senator, I should have been more specific :) How do you do make an InfoPass Appointment. I live in Rural Wyoming and the only local office is 3 hours away. I believe it is the only one in the State too.

If your not happy with dealing with the senator you can call customer service ask for a supervisor and ask the supervisor for an officer.

Thanks... I just went to the site and tried to schedule an appointment. I got "INFOPASS is not available in your area". I got on the USCIS Page and looked at my profile and saw some activity on there today so maybe i'll see some positive results soon.
