I think one thing worth doing is responding to the 16-February blog posting on the USCIS Blog: http://www.uscis.gov/blog/

They seem to indicate that they are taking the appropriate measures to continue processing applications despite the priority given to Haitian immigration requests. It's pretty clear that there's a problem right now at the USCIS centers (certainly the Vermont one) as the Igor metrics seem to indicate that very few I-129F's are being processed. So for them to say that the Haitian applications are not impacting the normal workload of applications is completely false. We were seeing 50-60 day turnarounds, and now we are much closer to 90-120 days. Something doesn't feel quite right.

Since the blog post doesn't include any factual data, I think it would be worthwhile to provide the USCIS Management Team with some data...

Thoughts? (I am the first post, a bit angry first thing this morning..) whoops :innocent:

I've been designated as your Team Captain, so I won't let you become as irrate and crazy as November filers did.

It has always happened. People will be approved before you. People who submitted 3 months after you will be approved before you, such is life, and such is this process.

DO NOT compare your timelines to anyone else's. It only leads to frustration and envy.

Do not let yourself be dragged into this cesspool of crybabies and constant b!tching and moaning.

You will be with your loved ones. It's just going to be in due time.

I am just like you. Waiting (yes, impatiently). So I am in no different situation than any other here waiting for NOA2.

I just ask one thing of you - do not panic and create the crazy environment November people have created on these boards.

I understand it is hard, but supporting each other helps a lot and goes a long way.

Couple of months from now, all of us will look at this thread as history. All of us will be approved and on our marry way of living our lives with our wives and husbands.

Count off one day at a time. Think of it this way. Tomorrow it will have been one day less of waiting.

Sincerely yours,

Martyshk

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;

The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;

The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,

While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:

But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,

Where on the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;

Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;

For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;

For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;

Here Captain! dear father!

This arm beneath your head;

It is some dream that on the deck,

You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;

My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;

The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;

From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;

Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!

But I, with mournful tread,

Walk the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.

When I started this thread on 12/04/09 I was a little stressed at first but as our team developed with such positive and educated posters such as.....

Mapt. Reddstars, Mark and Carol, just to name a few we have turned this into the best Forum for the second half of 2009. A and J stated that the Dec.VSC forum has kept them positive .......and Jared and May injected that poem to my Team Cap't ...... Mapt..

It's like a tight group here that sticks together and don't sling mud at VSC or each other....

Keep it up people.!! This is why we are here.. Not to act childish.. But to act mature and positive.. This will get us through the next 2 months or hopefully before for the day we get our NOA-2's....... :dance:

I love popping into this thread & reading how the VSC K1's are going...the positive attitudes make it much better. I have seen some of the other threads descend into back biting etc over a process that none of us have control over...sure we could all get angry at others jumping ahead in approval but what does it achieve in the long run? Not a darn thing!

So hold your heads high Dec VSC you guys are awesome!

I enjoy coming back to this thread every week and reading what you guys write.

Things are moving along.

Just think about it, this thread was started over 2 months ago....we are already almost half way there.

I say 1 more month before we start seeing the first "real" (I don't count those 40 days or expedited cases) approvals. And I know that we'll be happy for each other.

When I look in November's thread, I think people are afraid to even fill out their timelines or post anything about approvals at this point because of the backlash.

If I see anyone on here do any of that I'll slap you silly :P

Seriously though, VSC is working. Their Dec report on the official website states they did 1500 cases that month, which ain't too bad. I think January will be less, but it will pick up in the coming months. You know they work in bursts.

To reiterate my point again, we are almost half way there (if not more) guys, so even though it is extremely hard for everyone (me included) to wait and be apart from your fiance/fiancee, in the end, we will all be reunited with them and will look back at this thread with happy memories about how we supported each other and made the wait a little bit more bearable.

Signing off for the day

Sincerely yours,

Martyshk

haha you guys are great!

I just got back from 5 wonderful days in Sao Paulo with Bira...just seeing each other for those few moments was exactly what we needed. Returning to the US and walking through customs/immigration without him is torturous, but knowing that in a few months we'll be skipping through the border together...ahhhhhhh!! I almost started crying when the border officer asked about my visit in brazil and I couldn't help but blurt out that soon and very soon he'll be crossing these borders with the K1!!!! haha officer man looked at me like I was crazy, but whatevs!

keep on smiling, skyping and stay encouraged everyone!

No news on the NOA2 yet but congrates to all those that have already had them and good luck for the interview.

I have just had my SO over for a week (dang American holiday policy and him only been able to get 12 days of holiday a year) well after nearly a year of dating he finally met my mum and brother to got their blessing so on Feb 14th (my bday as well as valentines day) he offically asked me to marry him in front of all my family while we were out for dinner...I had no idea he was planning it, and it meant so much to me that he took the time to get it sorted out with them, even though he hardly knew them.

We already put in our visa paperwork back in december after talking about it and because we know how long the process can take, being offically engaged now just seems like i am living a dream, one i never want to wake up from.

Anyway just wanted to share my news with the rest of the dec filers :)

Welcome and congrats on your engagement!! This site is a great support group and we Dec. filers try to stay positive. Although, the waiting is just as hard for us as it is for everyone else.

Good luck!

Cudos PJ and Martyshk for keeping us sane and positive. :thumbs: I enjoy our thread because it is so upbeat and we are not turning on each other or the USCIS. We realize that this process will take 4-5 months and some filers will be approved before us because they are expedited. The first 2 months went pretty fast and hopefully the next 2 will go even faster.

On another note, the following link should explain why VSC is not approving more I-129F petitions: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=220499 A VJ member had dinner with a Director from VSC. The Director said that during the summer they receive many I-129F's and they move more ajudicators to work on these petitions to get caught up. After catching up in Oct., they moved ajudicators to work on other petitions.

Unfortunately for us, we filed 1 -2 months too late for speedy approvals. Hopefully, VSC will get behind and redirect more ajudicators to work on our petitions.

Stay positive everyone and pray for Nov. approvals. :yes:

Stay positive everyone and pray for Nov. approvals. :yes:

Mark

Mark,

You are absolutely correct. It just goes in waves. VSC shifts priorities based on where they need to catch up. They got I-129Fs back to about 5 months waiting time, so they are being processed as normal.

We all know how hard it is to wait another extra day, but honestly, F it. At this point, we've already waited two+ months, and waiting another two months is just a name of the game.

I've yet to see a negative post on our thread, and I hope we can go on keeping it that way.

In the end, being with our loved ones is all that matters, and 5 months of wait is nothing, compared to lifetime together!

Sincerely yours,

Martyshk

Слава Україні!
