well they're not on during the day. I just can't figure out how to get a photo to turn out without looking all black or with streaks of light. I will google it.

If you have a point-and-shoot camera, then turn on the flash so that it doesnt look black and turn off the slow sync so that the lights do not look streaky. Hope that helps.
