Let's see Susita, I hate arroz con gandulez, I hate mofongo, I hate pasteles with a passion, and alcapurrias or pretty much anything that has plantain in it.

wow! I like all of those things. The thing I really miss is pastelillos though. I make them at home sometimes, but nobody can make them like those little guys on the street with the cart. Or bacalao.

Speaking of food I really need to cook something for lunch, bleh.

Oh Susita, I love pastelillos. But that's also super common in Brasil, actually, it's huge there so I never think of it as puertorican food. I think my main issue with boricua food apart from the plantains is the fact I don't like cilantro.

hello all!!!! happy new year's eve to all my commie friends! I need to go to the grocery store but I've decided I will take the commie advice and look through the ad for this week. we have 5 different grocery stores here but I always just go to 1 of them. there's no way in hell I'll go to more than one store just because something is on sale, but I am going to look through the ad and see if any of the stuff on sale can replace what I normally buy. that's a start, right?
