I submited a question too. I ask why the "California service center slower than Vermont service center in Fiance Visas"

Same here.... I did the same. Below are my statements made to him.

"My question pertains to the USCIS CSC service center processing of I-129F Petitions and the significant slow down due to the delay of USCIS in implementing the IMBRA regulations signed into law on 1/5/06.

What steps are being taken to alleviate the significant backlog of I-129F petitions?

Has the processing order changed from the NOA1 dates to the RFE received dates?

Can anything be done to better inform the US Citizens of the status of their cases and the procedures being performed to correct the backlog created by delay of USCIS in implementing the changes due to IMBRA?

Currently, many petitions are approaching 120+ days and have not been processed. As a US Citizen I agree that every precaution should be taken to protect our borders and immigration process. It is unfortunate that the passage of the IMBRA law was not adapted to in a more expedited manner and we as Citizens of the US are not receiving the customer service we would normally expect. This happens many times in private business as well. However, any communication on the steps being taken to mitigate the backlog and resolve the extraordinary delays in the processing is of foremost concern to us US Citizen Petitioners wanting to properly and legally petition to be united with our loved ones, respectively submitted.

Your responses and attention to our concerns are highly appreciated.

Sincerely"

I submitted as well - why is CSC so slow post-IMBRA?

I see he only was appointed in December 2005. Interesting.

If enough of us submit the same general Q, there's NO WAY he can not answer.....

Me too! Plus "why don't they hire more people"

I asked about the inconsistant information that the consolate officers will ask. Like (Here you go Kevin and Loan) What are the previous addresses of your fiance(e)?

I still find this to be the most outragous thing to ask and make the fiance(e) provide. If they are validating if she knows about the ex's then just when they where married. But to dig up the past like that and then hand it over to your soon-to-be-wife, is crazy.

I also submitted a few questions... Thanks! Hopefully we can cause some awareness and create a better outlook on this stressful and frustrating situation.

Here are the questions I posted:

Thank you for this opportunity.

1. What is being done to address the backlog of K1 Visas created by the IMBRA legislation?

2. Are you aware of the community of members on Visajourney.com? We share information about the progress of our applications and about the 'responsiveness' (more commonly "non-responsiveness") of those we speak to at the National Customer Service Center. Timelines are compared and the average days between each point in someone's Visa journey are tracked. There's a wealth of information within this site which can help you pinpoint opportunities for improvements to this process.

3. Several of these members have contacted their respective state Senators regarding their case status. Why is it that these Senators receive conflicting information from USCIS regarding the prioritization process of these pending applications?

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I asked many questions. Basically the same that have already been asked. I think if we all stay on the same basic topic (backlog due to IMBRA) he will not be able to NOT answer an IMBRA question.

To those of you who advocated protests in DC., and proactively contacting your senators and congressmen, do not let this opportunity to ask the man in charge of USCIS know your concerns.

Again, if we all stay on topic he will undoubtedly have to answer our questions. If nothing else, he will see that there are a large number of people who have been greatly impacted by the backlog and consequent effects of IMBRA.

Let's get to it EVERYONE!!!
