Oh, those flamingoes are so cute!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Wow on the tree size, that's impressive! Good to know that you finally received them, have to love Canada Post!!! (NOT)Raymaga, it was me! I thought you would figure it out by process of elimination, felt like mine was the last to get to its destination!

Glad to know that you liked them, they are actually place card holders, but I thought the same too, that they could have been used as ornaments..almost kept them for myself!

Sorry that you didn't get them in time for this year, but you'll have new baubles for next year now.

Enjoy! :star:

So glad you told me that they were place card holders.... I just took one out of the box and I see that they are indeed place card holders (flat on the bottom, so they'll sit on the table)!!!! Cute idea... I LOVE THEM!!!!

Thanks again!!!

Those are cute ornaments, Arabella. Thanks for the pic. :)

Mal needs a do-over for Secret Santa this year. :(

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

If it's going to Canada, good luck. I mailed Christmas cards last year on December 4th. The Canadians never received them until mid to late January. :o Canada Post sucks.

UPS is buggered up right now too.

A couple stores were worried about loss of sales from the giant snow storm to hit the east coast 2 weeks ago, so they ran giant online sales to up volume.

They forgot to inform UPS that there would be a influx.

My mom talked to her friend working there in our area, he said they are backlogged 7 days right now.

Yeah my Canadians just got their Christmas cards yesterday! It took 2 and a half weeks. Pretty craptastic if you ask me!

USPS seems to have really good instate service here. I mailed a card to someone in a neighboring locality and they got it the next day! But then again, I just got a Christmas card from Bill's Californian family yesterday. Although, they are on California time, so they may have just mailed it really late :P

So Mal, Avery and Sapphire are still waiting.

One is from Avery, one is from Rhiann, one is a mystery.

I was just kinda looking over the list, did anyone hear anything from KarenElizabeth? I ask because I don't remember seeing them post in this thread like at all...
