Well, not only did USCIS update their CSC processing times, I also got touched 5 times today but they were all the same message saying they received my IMBRA RFE and that "although preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message..." Can someone explain to me what they mean by that? It seems they also refer to a time that I see no where on on the notice. It also says that, "...*The projected processing time frame can be found on the receipt notice that you received from the USCIS...." Are they referring to the NOA1 or something else I'm supposed to have? Any thoughts?

Did you by any chance sign up for the email alerts several times? Maybe they received multiple requests for the email alerts and have no deduping capability. I get duplicate emails and I think I signed up twice for the email alerts inadvertantly.

When I get an email from them I get it x3. It's just their email system going nuts. The email you got is the same one everyone gets when they have your RFE. The peliminary processing part of the email just means they have done something to your case already. Maybe only looked at the date to see if IMBRA applies or it could be they did more. Who knows?

okay...I just thought it was wierd that they would send the same email multiple times. I just hope that we get NOA2 within the month. So close but yet so far. As we say in the military, standby to standby. Thanks for the replies....

I received the same email 5 times as well. I tend to think it's a duplicate email going out, rather than my file being 'physically' touched 5 times in one day....

GAD, here's a story!

When I opened my hotmail box, there it was: USCIS: Updated case status info for receipt #.....

My heart starts to pound. My hands are sweating. I'm salivating at the very thought of seeing this ONE phrase that I have waited so LOOOOOONNGGG to hear: "Congratulations, Ms. Sara! Your case has been approved!"

But...

When I click on the email to open it....

My hard drive crashes. Literally a SPLIT second before the page opened up!

Now I am shaking with anticipation. We alllll know this feeling. I can't get my computer back up! I have to fiddle with the thing for like 2 HOURS to get IE rolling again! The whole time, my mind is on only one thing... and it isn't how to fix a 7 year old machine!!!!!!!!!!! GAHHHHHH the torture of it all!!!!!!

But. alas, this was the content of the email, when I finally opened it up: We received your RFE. Now wait and sweat some more, mere mortal!

Just kidding, but you get the idea. The same one, 5 in a row. K. Done rambling. (F)

Multiple emails are very typical... some are from USCIS, others can be from CRIS... at every stage. Doesn't mean your case was touched multiple times, but at least there's progress.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

But is there any way to know how many times they touched you in one day?

I even asked you this question, rlt, and I thought you said no? I really don't need another reason to obsess over checking for updates... :P

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
