 Hello i am new here.heres my questions?

I am currently active duty military, I was not able to get a employment letter but i was able to get a employment verification from DFAS.also included my Enlisted record brief.also included my reenlistment contract.these are for the affidavit of support.will these documents be enough for proof of employment?

Also my tax return from last year is a joint return with my ex wife, i was in Iraq at the time.will this be a problem? I have put so much into getting my fiancee here to the states.just starting to worry me.everything is going faster than we expected.it only took 2months for UCIS to approve her application.Does US military get special treatment?

There's no special treatment for US military... My fiancee is also in the military... You're just lucky to have a faster approval... The enlistment contract will suffice.. You need last 3yrs W2, ITR and recent pay stubs. Your fiancee will be fince during her interview... God bless on your journey...

You're Gods' wonderful blessing... I'm so happy to be with my baby, dog eddie, mom and dog molly...

Extremely happy with my married life, but we're praying for a baby this 2010, so help us GOD....

Your Poverty level income is less than non military

You only need to show last years Tax Return, Don't know why people think you need 3 years.

In my Opinion, Military Personal should be given special treatment with reduced fees and priority processing

Good Luck and thanks for Serving Our Country

She may need to go back in two days. A second appointment is not unusual. She needs 4 FOUR photos. The Embassy Website is wrong and the one here was also one off. Good luck. ...

And thank you for serving our Country. I agree - you should be given special consideration with lower fees, special handling - at least for those on active duty and those who have been recently rotated in or out of an active theater.

I disagree, Lady Justice is always blind folded specifically so no one gets special treatment.

Our country is founded on the principal that everyone is the same under the law.

If you want special treatment I suggest you go live in the Middle East.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I am also in the military, there is no "special treatment" for us, the only thing that might work is a expedited processing if you are deploying to overseas and need to get her here faster, but you are already past that stage. I am in the Air Force, 19 years, I was able to get a statement of employment from the Virtual MPF as we call it, and my boss wrote a letter on Air Force letter head stating I was employed. As far as your tax return, you will have no problem with that, I had the same thing when my now wife went to her K1 interview, so no worries there man. Now when we went to our AOS interview, I wore my uniform, and the interview was a breeze, and they did not ask to many quesitons, did the same the other day for the stop son AOS interview. Good luck in your interview, I am sure it will go smooth, if you have any other questions shoot me a PM.

Just so worried i put so much money and time into this, i did everything myself. thank you again

God Bless! She'll do fine, especially if you are there for the interview with her. USEM allows you to sit nearby, so you can hear everything and in fact, answer any questions the CO might ask. Uniformed military get respect, if not special treatment, in most U.S. government places.

That's a horrible thing to say. This guy is serving our country. It doesn't matter where he is. Give him the respect he deserves.

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Just don't forget this process takes two people, so remember she is also doing her part. Without her doing her part in this whole journey, it won't be possible. We all spend lots of money going through this journey, as well as lots of time. Really in the scheme of the whole process, that isn't what this is all about. If you love her with all your heart, you just do it and the money and time are "invested" in the relationship. I've spent more money than I care to add up, but it doesn't matter because I am with the one lady in this whole big world that I really love. The rest just doesn't mean that much to me anymore....Just my feelings on MY situation...
