Sorry to be hogging my own post but I got some really good news today that my case was re-opened yesterday. That means they are finally working on the MIA cases. If the 10 of you left need to vent or get more info or whatever, I will keep the post going until we ALL are re-opened!!!

Have they updated your status on the uscis website? Who told you it was updated yesterday?

Yes. I got an email today and hurredly confirmed it on uscis.gov: On July 25, 2006, this case was reopened on a USCIS motion, and the case is now in process.

OK Zethris, Miles, t&s, henry - NVC sent my petition to Vermont on July 18th. A couple of you are just a day or 2 behind that so I would expect an e-mail by Monday saying your case has been re-opened. If not, call VSC. Miles - I put some info in the recalled petitions status online thread for you. Henry, you should send emails with your case number to the US Embassy in China and NVCInquiry@state.gov. I wish I could help you with the address of the former but if you post a question in regular k1 topics or Embassy section I think someone will know!

Good luck everyone, and thanks to whoever said my fiance and I were cute!

I think it's high time that we (by my count 11 of us) whose recalled petitions have been lost by either the UK, Russia, Thailand or Phillipines embassies start sharing information between ourselves in a new post, since there seems to be so little available. I for one have absolutely no idea where my k1 petition is. VSC don't got it, NVC don't got it, and the Embassy was supposed to send it like 2 months ago. My wedding party is 2 days away from postponed, as are my fiance plans to resume university in the fall. Luckily my fiance works for the US consulate and has been promised action on her behalf this week by someone-of-power at the Embassy to find out what happened to our petition. And I will post the findings here.

As far as the rest of you go, and I'm only talking about those of you like me who have NOT gotten their case re-opened, please share any and all information and thoughts you can. :help:

Cigarovich, I know you've now seen action so I think I'm the only active one on this board who has not heard or learned anything new for 90 days. Since the others may not have visited to update the list, is there anyone else like me who's case has not been touched and has not heard anything since the cancelled interview? My calls, letters, expedite requests, etc. have yielded nothing.

I would suggest calling now, but the NVC at 603-334-0700 as they just barely got the information to be able to tell me this week as last week they didn't have it to tell me anything either.

Meh, nothing to see here.

Hello to all that like us are waiting, waiting, waiting,

Being in NY, I have just sent an email to Hillary Clinton outlinning my Timeline and of course adding that what Immbra has caused is destroying lives and accomplishing nothing else.

It will be interesting to see the response, If You check my Timeline, NVC sent to Guangshou China on 5/01/06 never to be heard from again ! Poof !

They even have the nerve to insult our intellegence by writing that They still have not received the petition, BS is still BS if it be in English Chinese or this growing list of Embassies that tell bigger lies than ####### Cheney ! Ouch

Hey put the shoe where it should Go !

To everyone, Hope those papers magically appear in Your mailboxes very soon.

God, I think I need a drink Now, and I don't drink ! Hmmm Got to figure this one out !

Hey when I was talking on the phone with Dept of State in DC (it is the 202 area code) back mid June finding out what in the hecht was going on, the lady that always says oh no oh no ur petition was recalled told me after I asked about Direct Consular Filing (DCF), she said just recently there was gentleman that went over there to China and married her there filed, DCF, and in just about 3 weeks the spousal visa was issued. Might check DCF out?

I got news today from Congressman Simmons' office that the VSC still does not have my case. I have gotten conflicting emails galore who has my Petition right now. I don't know who to believe anymore.

Do you have an email from Manila with a returned date? If so call NVC and don't get off the phone until you speak with a supervisor who locates it or promises to the next time you call. It seems that a bunch of MIA petitions have been sent back in the last week or so.

It's been a good couple days. Re-openings on 4 MIA folks from 2 different countries and now the official number is at 8. At this pace I hope that when I get back from vacation that number is zero! Any more of you who are MIA should stand up and be counted on Mew's compiled NOA2 Chart if you're not already! Hmmm, have to think of something special for the last one to get re-opened! Maybe we should get a pool going...
