Hi guys i recived 2 weeks ago a letter from USCIS ... the letter was saying that my case was shiped to NVC ... and that it has been aproved..

The letter also said that the NVC will contact me in approx. 90 days ...

I applied i august 2004.. for i130 for brother or sister..?

Can someone tell me where am i right now... am i close or ....

You still have a long way to go since the visa petition is for a sibling. Half the wait is for the approval of the I-130 from the USCIS, which you're done with. The rest of the wait is having the case sit at the NVC until a visa # is available which can take years. Call the NVC and at least get your case number from them so you can have it handy.

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

Yeah but in the I797 they USCIS sent me it told me that the NVC will contact me in 90 days.. ?why will they contact me

Now - ya gotta do NVC Processing (YOU ) .

Give NVC a call tomorrow, inquire if an NVC casenumber is available yet (it all starts with that phone call ).

Gather up his original documents - and read all of the pages at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

IMO, be pro-active. CALL NVC. Call NVC daily, until you get an NVC casenumber for Macedonia.

WHY WILL THEY CONTACT YOU, you ask? You are the petitioner, yes?

It's another 5-6 years before a visa will become available to your sibling. Don't know why the NVC needs to contact you in 90 days. That is not normal.

I think you will know NOTHING until you call NVC and inquire about case status, get an NVC Casenumber for Macedonia.

The DS-230 requires original documents from your brother - so it's a good idea to tell him to get what's needed, send it to you.

Seriously - call NVC, get a human, find out what the status is.

FWIW, on any step of this process, it could be delayed for namechecks - so if you don't find the case number at NVC, keep calling until they have it.

Got it. The letter informed you that the petitioned has been approved and forwarded to the NVC to await for the Priority Date to become current. The Priority Date for your sibling is going to become current in 5-6 years. You will not be contacted by the NVC for the next 4-5 years. You will not be contacted in 90 days. It's recommended that you wait 90 days before contacting the NVC so they will have time to receive the approved petition and get it into their system. There is a big difference in them telling you that they will contact you in 90 days and them recommending you wait 90 days to contact them about the petition. The beneficiary will get a letter informing him or her that the petition has been approved.

I'm pretty sure it says that they will contact me...

The guy who told us about form I130 back in 2004 hes in USA now with a green card and he applied in 2003 and now 1 year after i got my aprooval ... im so confuseddd

It seems that you are confused about a lot of things. Contact an immigration attorney.

well i didnt call them actualy because i decided to wait i dont need to rush...

But what does this mean: " if the benificarry doesent recieve correspondence from NVC" ??
