What is going on over in CSC?

They have had returned RFE's in the hand since late June, and I have seen only 2 or 3 approvals, from January.

Does anyone have any news about progress? What are they doing?

According to the brainiacs who answer the phone at CSC, they will take 30 days to process returned RFEs. Really, I don't think anyone has a clue what they are doing there. At this point, I don't expect to see an approval for my March 23 petition until September. . . .

I'm planning on having a combined wedding and retirement party. That should give them enough time.... 27 years.

Well, my thought was that if processing was largely complete, and when they matched up the returned RFE with the case, do the right thing - GET THE RUBBER STAMPER OUT: APPROVED!

But no, that makes too much sense. Rather than do the right thing, CSC has chosen to remand the March files to the area of the office that collects the most dust!!

Just not buying what you're selling kitkat. I understand it is human nature to expect the worse. I just don't believe you or anyone else will be waiting 6 months for an approval. I also refuse to believe that they transferred all these I129F's to Cali just to F..k all of us. They transferred these files to CSC to expedite the process not slow it down. :D

As much as I hate to admit, Kitkat is probably closer to the mark than anyone. Go back and look at how far they were behind in early Mar and April before the IMBRA fiasco and now add in the 100s if not 1000s of petitions from Tex and neb.

Considering that both those facilities stopped handing out NOA2s for people dated Mar 6 or after. Figure out what the back log is. My NOA1 date is 15 Mar and I will be lucky to see to my NOA2 this month. Figuring best case mid august.

Back it up from there folks. Even if they start approving tomorrow (figure the odds as latest word from CSC is that RFEs will take month to process) it is going to take long time for CSC to catch up.

Anytime a organization reorganizes for efficiency you can plan on the next three months being totally disorganized. (especially governmental agencies).

Now having said all that, I am mad as hell too, and find this whole situation totally out of whack and totally unexcusable. The only way we are going to speed up the process is by getting enough senators and congressman breathing down their neck that they will get off their collective A**es and go to work.

CSC is no longer processing I-129's, I-140's or I-821's. So it's not like they are just taking on all these extra applications on top of what they already were doing. They transferred these type petitions and applications to the other centers.

Good point dwar49,

I also find this unacceptable. At the end of the day, the Embassies do the final validation of these petitions. USCIS is entry level, in that they look at the basics of a case. I could validate, or invalidate a case in five (5) minutes time. If you look at these files over and over again, the red flags are instantly apparent. Others are "rubber stamp". Simple as that.

Something is very F'd up over there. I just wonder how many case workers are there and just how many cases they are reasonably expected to process per day. I know they have a backlog, but this is beyond ridiculous.

When you pay many thousands in Fed tax, over many years, it just tends to piss you off.

I'm sorry to intrude, my being a VSC person, but huh? I thought they WERE processing 129's. Wait, here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...7825&st=15#

Cases have been transfered TO CSC, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey - here's hoping you're right! It's not really that I'm expecting the worst. I'm just going by what we've seen so far. We haven't heard of increased staff at CSC or seen any sign that they have a clue (or any sign of life either). If the workload has been lifted by transferring other petitions to other locations so they could process I-129Fs, we certainly have not seen the impact of that yet. I don't think they transferred all of us to #### us. But clearly they didn't have a well thought plan (any plan) for any of this. After all, if they did, we would not be in this predicament to begin with. Also, it was not unheard of to wait 6 months for an approval before IMBRA. So I think you can see why I am planning on September - if it comes any earlier, it will be a great surprise, right? But for now, I have zero confidence in CSC.

Aaaah. D'oh, Mew. Don't say anything when you don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks for correcting me. And sorry for the intrusion, you guys.
