There seems to be the idea that people in less civilized countries, if you want to call it that, are all barbarians exposing animals to cruel suffering. All I'm saying is that animals are treated no better - and often worse - in the mass meat production facilities of the civilized world.

The animals' living conditions are oftentimes much, much worse as well in the "civilized" world.
