k3, i130 fees?

I was processing through the I130 and I paid the 70 for affadavid of support to NVC. I did not send them a AOS though. I want to pursue the K3 instead. Can I still pursue the K3 even though i only paid the 70 for AOS to NVC?

Im pursuing K3 now becuase all the original documents are with my wife all the way in India and their mail system sucks.

Yes, you can pursue the K3 if you really want to. The $70 fee you paid was for the CR1 visa, not the K3. If you definitely want the K3, don't pay any more fees or send any more documents to NVC.

You might wanna call NVC and let them know you want to finish up on the K-3, and put the I-130 on hold.

Since you already paid a fee, it will SEEM to NVC that you are pursuing the I-130.

Yeah, I'll call them up.. if their line wasn't soo busy all the time.

seems the only time to call them is 9 in the morning.. any other time and its just busy tones all the way..

I contacted them, told them I will try to pursue the K3 since all the originals are sitting in India. They are ok with it, they said the case will remain valid and waiting for documents for a full year from the last time I called them.

I'll go with her to the K3 interview, and I'm not worried about anything with it, I think we'll pass it just fine. Should there be any issues then a least I have the NVC to fall back on and have all the original documents in hand to do everything at that point.

Are k3 interviews really hard to do? whats the fail rate on those?
