I just read a few other posts stating that sometimes approvals are issued without requireing an embassy interview. Is anyone familiar with this happening?

You must be reading posts referring to AOS (PR/Green Card) being sometimes approved without interview. (K-Visa's, never.)

I-129f paperwork ? Manila? No Interview? Alas, no, no no and no - you've gotten confused somehow.

Adjustment of Status, on the other hand, can be granted, leading to 2 year conditional greencard, WITHOUT an interview - it depends on a lot of variables - IMO, the biggest one being the documentation in the submittal package.

Have you spoken with your USC partner about how to prepare the I-485 ?

Warmest Regards...

The only way that I can think this could happen requires an interview FIRST, but then the result was a blue slip, to submit more evidence or submit what was asked for in the blue slip.

Then, when the visa is finally approved, there is no additional interview, but then somehow the applicant receives the passport back with the visa stamp.

ALL K-1 and CR-1/IR-1 petitions require an interview.

If you read such a post stating otherwise - hey !! can i rent a clue? please post the url of the 'few other posts' that you read?

Thanks in Advance !

Was hers a K-1 Visa? and if I understand you correctly she was approved without having an interview by a CO at the Manila Embassy. They just sent her a visa directly to her home for her to insert in her passport? If true what about the Affidavit of Support?

There's such thing as no interview at USEM.Every applicant has to face the pre-screener and the CO.dont worry,as long as ur relationship is valid and u've got all the documents that are needed for the interview, you'll be ok.I didnt see any posts here that said that they had no interveiew. The one who said that she knew somebody who didnt have an interview at the USEM,she's not from the Philippines and should back up her friend's story.
