I think thats a load of #######. Sports writers were quick to annoint both Mannings and Matt Ryan as "future Hall of famers" when they had played in zero regular season games and only a few pre-season games, yet McNabb in his 4th season who had put up good numbers was overrated because they wanted to prop up a black QB? Come on, a good QB is a good QB, period. No amount of media cajoling could change the fact that JaMarcus Russell is a bad QB.

now thats a load of #######. mcnabb's #s in this 4th year weren't as good as trent dilfer's, who nobody would consider anything more that average. the mannings being future hall members comments were based on what they had done in college & their father's numbers he put up w/ the saints when they sucked. ryan played lights out when he came on the scene & noone expected it....& yes jamarcus russell sucks, al davis needs to stay way far away from the draft room.

Rush was right about McNabb. It had nothing to do with racism, it had to to do with the exact opposite. I'm sure Snerdley would agree.

I agree, that whole situation got blown out of proportion. They did pump McNabb up. I think Rush should of known he couldnt say something like this in the mainstream media.

at the time he made the comment, he had a valid point. mcnabb's stats were not anything special. in the years that have passed....mcnabb has proved him wrong, he is an elite qb.

Yes I totally agree, thats what I meant by them pumping up Mcnabb, it was too soon and he hadn't even proven himself to be one of the elite. I got to admit I was wrong also, Mcnabb has turned out to be a much better QB than I thought he would be and I would like to thank Seminole for dropping him.

Im not sure what sports writers your referring too but its seems everyone is pretty hard on Eli and rightly so, hes good but one of the best Im not so sure. Even then I still think he gets more credit that he deserves just because of who is brother is, that said he doing pretty dam good this season. Sanchez has been getting alot of positive media attenion too and it has me shaking my head I think people are jumping the gun. Regardless to this I think they went way overboard with Mcnabb. To act like this was a racist comment was just out right stupid.

I like the way the NFL system works with this issue, owners should be able to vote. I think they would be stupid to vote him out and unfourtantly I dont think Rush will get the votes needed. I hope I am wrong.

Whether it is part of his schtick or it is his own viewpoints, I don't know, but Rush seems to say quite a few subconciously racist things.

As to the coverage that Sanchez is getting..... look at the media coverage during the period from when he announced he was foregoing his senior year of university until the middle of training camps. A vast majority of the coverage was centered around he shouldn't have been picked so high that he wasn't as prepared as Matthew Stafford. That whole argument infuriated me. Why was he less prepared? USC runs a pro-style offense, Georgia does not. Sanchez did far better on all the physical and mental test than Stafford, yet he was the one who made the poor decision in coming out for the draft.

he only started 16 games at USC. so, people were shocked that he came out early & that the jets would pick him that early. it looks like the jets made a good choice sanchez looks like the real deal...w/ the edwards trade, it looks even better for sanchez's future.

Neither Peyton nor Eli put up spectacular numbers in College. Yes, Al Davis needs to stay away from the draft room, hell, he needs to stay away from the team period.

Yeah, but this is USC, where lets be honest, they manufacture future NFL players. The kids that come out of there are far better prepared for the NFL than any other University. Players at USC are subjected to the same level of media hype and scrutiny that professional players are. They are also blessed with a NFL level training facility and NFL level coaching staff. Matthew Stafford never impressed in college, nor did he ever show a strong arm. I still don't see why he was picked so high.
