Whoa..... took me a while to find this thread.

I see october must be a bit of a soft month at the VSC.

thats too bad about the stimulus- i was hoping i could get it while there was still time, but ultimatly i dont really care, i had already accepted the fact that it would probably take 6 months over there. Looking back, i designed my I-129f a little bit matter-of-factly- such as writing my embassy here as being at beijing, when i knew it would be GUZ. Hell, beijings closer- if they want to hump my package for 6 months, why dont they tell ME what my embassy is?

Then i saw this stimulus was starting up, just after i sent it away, and felt a little bad that i had'nt been a good boy!

Anyway, 1-2 months? yea right, the day the US gov't is that quick by default....

Anyway, thats my 2 cents. Sent I-129f 9th of October, NOA1 date: 27th Oct.

I'll probably be the last person to declare they're an october filer here....

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

Nope, we were late October filers too. Got our NOA1 October 29th and been chewing my nails to bloody nubs ever since. I saw in the California October filers thread something about a "list"? It showed all the approved and waiting to receive NOA2s. I would love to set my big beautiful browns upon that. I have no idea what the wait time is looking like for the NOA2.... but by god it better be soon or I won't even have fingers left!

I married my British Husband strictly for financial purposes. My heart wrote a check and I cashed it. (L)

HA! I found it. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthl...=2&sortby=2

Now that I've found it, I'm not so thrilled. That is one really long and intimidating list. And we are wayyyy down at the bottom to boot. :crying:

That was something I was worried about too (we are meeting over christmas and new years), but I read somewhere on one of the forum posts that the NOA2 is valid for 4 months. Someone please correct me if I am wrong

Best early B-day gift so far!

I was awaken at 6:45 this morning, as usual, the radio was blasting news and traffic reports. I grabbed my Blackberry and start checking emails received overnight and now being delivered. Nothing new, except a message about a failed hard drive on a server. Oh great, I thought, another tough day ahead. Nothing else, as usual. I put back the Blackberry and promised myself, a few more minutes. Then came 7AM, my Blackberry vibrated 4 times, two new emails, I assumed. I grabbed it, entered my password and, holy, there was one new email and one new text message! The only times I have seen this is when my options are opened, modified or executed, so I know this is something about my I-129.

I decided to open the text message first, it only said my case is updated. F***, I said, this is bad because should it say it has been approved?

Then I opened the email, thinking about the worst, searching for that "RFE" wording. Nothing. I opened my sleepy eyes, and found it, there it is, 5 lines down, "Current Status: Approval notice sent."

I jumped out of bed and call her with the great news. The rest is now history...

Congratulations JR. I am happy for you. Hopefully the next steps will go fast. Looks like you missed the part of my posting when I wrote that the text message I received from USCIS just said my case was "updated". I was on the first hole of the golf course and had to wait over 4 hours of torture before I could find out what the "update" was. I guess I was rewarded for that ordeal. I also saw your post on another thread about Mr. Yang's apartments in Guangzhou. I passed that information along to my fiancee and she liked it so much that she now thinks I am brilliant. I owe you one! I guess you saw the other posts that praised Mr. Yang and his wife for being so helpfull.

On another note posted by sanish: I also remember reading that the NOA2 was valid for 4 months and that it was possible to have it extended.

Where do you find this? Where it shows your current processing times? I've been to the NVC site and it just keeps giving me how long it takes for approval.. something like 5 months. Obviously I'm looking in the wrong spot.. where should I be looking?

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!... for all of you who have got your NAO2!

Select Immigration Timelines up at the top. Then on the left hand side under the K-1 petition section select "View my Timeline" if you've been entering in all your information then at the bottom it'll show your estimated time of adjucation.
