Stupid stupid USCIS sent me a reminder letter to file I-751 to my old old address (2 addresses ago!) I filed my AR-11 both times I moved.. I don't know how they could have still used my old address?? Luckily my mail is still being forwarded!

Hi,

It is common and don't bother calling them about it. It happened to me and to many others... they use the address on the AOS application and ignore the AR-11. Your NOA and everything else should arrive at the address you specified on your I-751 application....

I was also lucky because my mail was also being forwarded and I received it, called them spent 20 minutes talking to a rep without any results.

As long as you did your job of filing the AR-11 then you are in the clear!

Don't worry. The same thing happened to us, but on the other hand we never filed the AR-11. Stumbled upon that by accident last week and only then filed. The NOA-1 from CSC did make it directly the new address.

Same here on USCIS not updating our address after filing an AR-11. Pretty unprofessional. Worked out alright, b/c we had all our mail forwarded as well. Now we are back at our old address and still receiving USCIS mail. My guess is that it is best to file an AR-11 on the web, and/or call after paper filing to confirm receipt.

In other news, I decided to go ahead and calculate our 2009 taxes. (We had originally filed an extension.) Better to spend a few days on it than risk a time-consuming RFE.

The package is almost ready, and now includes:

Copy of daughter’s certificate of live birth

Copy of daughter’s birth certificate

Joint bank account statement

Joint income tax returns for 2007, 2008, and 2009

Joint ownership of DC property

Accident Insurance with wife as principal beneficiary

Health insurance with wife and daughter included

Photos together since our marriage in September 2007

I was hoping to include our joint credit cards, but apparently, the statements are still listed in my name only. Kind of annoying. She's a joint holder. I suppose I could send copies of the physical cards, but that seems a bit weird. Although I did have to send copies of our credit cards when we first applied for my wife's green card.

You can call and request the credit card company to send a letter to you stating that both are joint owners of the accounts, and it helps if you send copies of the cards themselves. Anything will do as long as it is clear with both names.

As the guide says, "The application should be easy to take apart. No heavy staples, please. Top punching is appreciated."

We cut down a manila folder to fit in an Express Mail cardboard envelope, and top punched everything but the check. We put it all together with an ACCO fastener, with the cover letter on top, followed by the application, and the evidence in the order listed on the coversheet. The pictures went to the back of the file. We used two paper clips to hold the check to the application.
