Hello all,

I need some help! My fiance filed form I-129f and it got to VSC on Sept. 2nd and our cheque was cashed on Sept. 9th and we still have no NOA1. What's up with that?

On back of check there is a code number that either starts with EAC if you are going thru VSC get that # and go to WWW.USCIS.GOV and sign up for the Case Status updates. Look and see when and if it has been sent or not then at least you will know if it might be lost in mail.

Mailed n-400 : 4-3-14

USCIS Received : 4-4-14

NOA1 Sent : 4-8-14

Biometrics Appt Letter Sent : 4-14-14

Biometrics Appt : 5-5-14

If you bank online, definitely check out the image of the check online and the number should be stamped on it... (F) hope you guys already have it or will get it soon!

No worries there. The NOA1 is pretty much useless anyway. I'd worry if it were the NOA2, though...good luck!

Hello all,

If the check was cashed, you might consider the NOA1 date to be on or around

the date it was cashed (see back of check). It's not a step to be skipped or

ignored and if you didn't have the cleared check only then would you have concern.

It just appears that it got lost in the mail or fouled up at the point of origin.

That shouldn't affect the status of your file/case or slow the receipt of your NOA2.

It wouldn't hurt to check at some point and inquire if the NOA1 was in fact mailed.

You may have to have the certificate (not sure on this) in hand for a future step.

Maybe Gary (Gary & Alla) will know that for certain.
