I know that it usually doesn't take USCIS more than 2 weeks to forward an approved I-130 to NVC. In my case it's been 2 months already. The details are here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=218566&hl

I was wondering what was the longest time you guys waited for your approved case to be transferred to NVC?

5 days for me. Have you called them to figure out what the hold up is?

Yeah I called. The details are under the link in my original post but the gist is that the California Center approved this application for adjustment of status by mistake and it should have been consular processing. They said they would rectify it but it's just taking too much time.

It really is taking such a long time. My case took a long time at USCIS, however after it was approved, within 5 - 7 days or so it was received at NVC. You should call every day or try and speak to a supervisor at the service center. Good luck.

I read your other post. Sounds like a #### up, IMO.

Call your US Congressman and the Two Senators - one of them SHOULD have an experienced Immigration Liason Staffer - sic that staffer onto the problem. IMO, it's in flux between NVC/USCIS and neither is admitting responsibility for either the #### up or getting the casefile to the proper place.

This is ONE instance where a Congressional / Senatorial Inquiry can make the difference, in a timely fashion.

Be prepared to email or fax the Immigration Liason staffer the pertinent casefile info..

GOOD LUCK !

Okay this may seem like a dumb question, but where do you find out if NVC has received you paperwork? Is there a login site like the USCIS

No sadly. But you can call them whenever you'd like and they're a million times more helpful than USCIS. :D
