Is it required to send passport copy and birth certificate for alien fiance in the K1 package? We have prepared all the package but since the finace's birth certificate is not in english, obtaining a certified translation of it will take almost one week and we do not want to wait for it if it is not required.

\PETITIONER has to submit BC or Copy of US Passport for proof of US citizenship. Naturalization cert if applies.

waiting one week to the get the translation is better than getting REF, " Be ghole maroof, chera in ghadr Holi?!!!!!"

if you are sending it to VT to CSC, you should know that they need the most reset certified copy of her BC in Farsi and english.

also they need a copy of your proof Citizenship too.

even if you are sending it to the Embassy, you should send the copy of above documnets too, this will make it easier for them to process your application.

But KGH, according to the guides, the beneficiary does not need to provide his/her birth certificate when first filing the I129. They only need proof of citizenship (complete passport copy, naturalization certificate copy, or birth certificate copy for the petitioner). But later when it gets to the embassy level, you need the original and translation of her shenasnameh. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I read.

Both are not required at this point. They might be required at the interview; check with the country's Embassy.

thank you all for the comments, we decided not to wait for translations since instructions on I129 did not request for a copy of beneficiary's BC

She will NOT get an RFE for something that is not required. Givng advice that is baically "Wait...because I don't know the answer" is not beneficial to the person asking. Study the guides and procedures before giving answers which only cause confusion or delay.
