I DVR his show every night. I actually like it. Not because I agree with pretty much anything he has to say, but his rants are entertaining. Its the one time I actually find myself yelling at the tv. But sometimes he makes a clear lucid point.

There's no such thing as Black culture either, unless you're a racist who beieves that African-American people are homogeneous.

I have heard quite a few AA in the media state that others just don't understand black culture.

They're racists, too.

Especially Bill Cosby.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

You know zqt3344 - calling Obama "Ovomit" is terribly childish and pretty offensive. Not because he is the President, just because he is a fellow human being.

Where were you when message boards everywhere were full of Bush caricatured as Hitler all over the place?

Oh, I know....

B. "I stood against that too"

Thats exactly the problem, you only demand respect for a President you... respect.

What part of Trailmix's bolded post did you not understand? Respect for him as a human being should be (should being the operative word here) the most important thing.

So, what are sanctioned insults against fellow human beings?

So Trailmix and Spirit are responsible for regulating other people's comments about Bush and conservatives on VJ? Last time I checked they're not the one's making those statements. They're stating that Ovomit is offensive. How on earth does that translate into Bush-Bashing and conservative bashing as being okay?

Neil Boortz has the same effect except he's on talk radio. There was this one time I agreed with a small portion of a statement he made...thought my husband was gonna pass out from the shock of it.

I guess what I am saying is: it's a little hard to accept their criticism about not showing a basic level of respect.... when their concern is limited to "their guy".

I can tell you, in the last two years of Bush's term, when it seems there were no bounds to what people could or would post or suggest about him....

I determined there no longer is a basic level of respect afforded the President so why should we restrain ourselves either.

Yeah it's unfortunate because I do respect Obama on a personal level.... just as I did Bush but only a fool abides by the rule book when the opposition clearly does not.
