Hi,

I am working on the I129-F petition for my fiancee. I am wondering how much information I should provide as evidence. I note the recent topic...I am wondering if I should front load, I think that's the term...that means provide a lot of evidence of our relationship, right?

I am just a little curious, in general, of what it takes to bring my love from Argentina...

Thanks!

This is just what i have 'read' in other posts. Its better to send as much evidence as you can in the beginning when submitting your petition. Its better to always have more than not enough. I have read that not enough evidence can cause the examiner to already begin to doubt the validity of the relationship therefore already getting a predetermined no or making it take longer by asking for more evidence. I major front loaded. I sent 122 pictures, chats, emails, phone records, anything I could get my hands on. Train tickets, plane tickets, bus tickets... etc etc... So send what you have and make your case as strong as you can in the beginning!!!! Thats my thought for the day! ;) Good luck!!

Front-loading can never hurt and very well could help. USCIS will not care about "evidence of relationship," but the embassy or consulate certainly will. Front-loading is probably wise when you will be dealing with any Latin American or South American consulate. Si, man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Si, man. :) If you're inclined to include the ticket printout, do it. You might want to write on it that this was your flight itinerary for your Xth visit to see the fiancee.

Appreciate it!

And is printing out a ticket from an e-mail (can't find the plane ticket stubs) acceptable?

I also sent in a small packet of Proof of an Ongoing Relationship.

In it were summary listing of emails, summary of phone calls and text messages, and summary of Skype calls with dates and time on the air.

I also sent in my receipt of flowers sent for Christmas, Jan 7, 2009, and a photo of her and the little one with the flowers

Finally a copy of the receipt of the engagement ring and a photo of her with the ring taken in our apartment in Kiev with St. Sophia Cathedral in the background which was see from the apartment balcony. (Another evidence of proof of having met also.)

All this evidence, both having met and ongoing relationship, should all tie together to tell the story that you two do indeed have an ongoing relationship. And it had better be a good relationship because the end goal is you are going to get married and most married couples do indeed have a close relationship.

For her interview, I just sent the same type of package but just from when we left each other in Kiev to when I sent the documents to her.

And, if I may add, when I sent the summary page of emails to her for the interview, I included just two emails printed out in full. One was our discussion about the schools where I live and where the little one would go to preschool and the other is a lovey-dubby email where we both profess our love for each other. Yes at this stage in our relationship we both tell the other that we love them; we are planning on getting married soon you know. And most married couple tell each other that they love them so that is only natural to include evidence of this.
