Kindly advise me how to prepare Affidavits of sworn as a evidences of a bonafide marriage.

Should it be on court paper OR simply I can make it on a plane paper and get signature.

And how many should I submit.

Thanks

Hi;

Here's a copy of the form you need to fill out. As for how many. I included about a dozen. It shouldn't matter how many, but the more the better. Hope this helps

Of course you can print it. If you notice, the second page is where you have to have it notarized. Ipaid $50.00 for this form on a legal website and am giving it to everyone here for free so take advantage of this.

Good luck.

We sent just simple letters from friends and parents, stating they knew about our relationship, and our intentions of getting married. We never had them notarized and they were still accepted. The reason I know they worked well was because I saw some of them with the envelopes in one of my two orange envelopes I got from the USEM that I had to leave at the airport at POE in USA. Don't waste money on notarizing. Simply ask relatives and friends to write short letter and put it in envelope with their address. Good luck on your visa journey

BTW, the attached file don't work

Hi

I am new to the forum site, my wife (US Citizen) submitted an i 130 on my behalf (British Citizen) to the US embassy based in London. We sent all the information required on the i 130 checklist but have received a letter which mentions the form has been found incomplete and/or requires additional evidence.

I have listed the items we are being asked to supply more information for along with my question(s) and would really appreciate if you can help us so that we can send the info they need.

1. Please provide a sworn affidavit that complies with 28 U.S.C. sec 1746. Explaining how and when you and your spouse met and the background leading up to your marriage on July 6 2009 (The affidavit must contain your full name and address, date and place of birth, the affiant may be required to testify before an immigration officer about the information contained in the affidavit.)

Does anyone know what this means in layman terms as we are both confused with we have to do or provide and what the format is?!

2. Please provide three (3) affidavits that comply with 28 U.S.C. sec 1746 sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of your relationship with the beneficairy. (Each affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship, if any, to the petitioner, beneficiary and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. The affiant may be required to testify before an immigration officer about the information contained in the affidavit).

Again, what does this mean in layman terms and what is the format?!

This is all completely new to us so we are pulling our hair out trying to figure out what to do here!?

Thanks!

No1.

prepare a letter by yourself start with your full name and address, date and place of birth like

i am ----- reside at--------was born....................

and then start your story how you guyd meet and decided for marriage attaching some chat/phone recorcd air tickets hotel booking is a good idea

write in your own words only one is enough from you or your wife.

No.2

ask your friends or family member to write a letter stating that they are witness of your relationship and marriage if you are living togather ask your neighbors too it will weight.
