Okay, I missed an assignment for my on-line class this week, and it cost me 10 points. The total grade is 70 points. I need to pull a 'satisfactory' grade in order to pass the class - roughly 80% or so. I do have the option to drop the class and take it in a month or two if this error will cost me, but I need to know if all I get are 60 out of 70 points possible, what will that be if 90%=A-, 80%=B-, 70%=C, etc.

Thanks in advance,

-Ken

Just divide 60/70 and will give you .85 which is 85% and that is a B

The professor will allow me to submit the assignment late (within 48 hrs. of the due date), for a reduced grade. Therefore, I believe I can pull 90% of the possible grade, or have a little 'wiggle-room' in case an assignment does not go the way I expected. Either way, I'll earn a 'Satisfactory' grade, which is what I was really concerned about.

Thank you again, VJ'ers!!

Hmmm... off-roading instead of doing your homework on time ey Ken...

Every class I have taken for my Credential program has been due by 11 p.m. on Sunday nights.

What confused me was the fact that assignments for this particular class were due at an unspecified

time on Saturdays. Crazy. I had to get out of town and forget about things for 1 day, and it cost me.

I was upset about this, but as long as I pull a 'Satisfactory' I will still be happy. My interview in Bogota

will more than likely be next month - when I have no classes scheduled. That way, I can focus on this

important task at hand and also enjoy myself with Leidys, exploring a city I have only seen from the air.

Bogotá is fun Ken. Have you looked at where you'll be staying? If you have the cash to splurge... check out Hotel de La Opera in Candelaria. Not as expensive as a Ritz by any means... but right in the center of Old Bogotá.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I looked at the "I Love Bogotá" website, and Joe Cannon suggested that it is a great place to stay. My cash is real tight and I really want for things to be a reality with Leidys. So, we have to save where we can. Once in the US, Leidys will have a great life, but I have to be careful while on my 7th trip to Colombia in 2 yrs.

 No kidding. What grade are you in young man?

I was expecting a difficult problem to which the answer would have been:

The size of Eric's wanker X 3.1415926535...

What do you need algebra for? Should put far more emphasis on adding and subtraction so a person knows they got a loan with payments that exceeds their income. Bankers can't even add nor subtract.

is there a calculator that has that many digits to the right of the decimal point?

Hope this isn't a math class. :P

We need math teachers on VJ. From some PMs I've gotten at least I know some of my previous science classes here have done something to make some folks understand some basics...

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
