AOS and co-sponsor

Are you able to be approved for AOS with a co-sponsor if your partner does not meet the poverty guidelines? Anyone know of a case when AOS was denied because the petitioner did not meet guidelines and had to use a co-sponsor? Right now, I am only working part-time and do not meet the guidelines. I have a co-sponsor who works and receives retirement, so her income is well above the guidelines. Would my SO's AOS be denied due to my limited income or are we okay with the co-sponsor? What happens if you are denied? Any possibility of appeal?

It won't be denied, that's what a co-sponsor is for. As long as the co-sponsor meets the requirements.

The rules (in the instructions) state you can use a co-sponsor (joint) to meet the requirements.

Only time they are not allowed is when they actually cannot meet the level needed (counted people wrong, low income, etc...)

Just *meeting* the level is not always enough, they stretch out about five years to see if the "chance" is there of the immigrant becoming a charge of the government.

But usually, if you meet it, you get it...
