OKAY. Gathering the packet together! My aunt took a bit longer to get her stuff together than we planned (we had wanted to mail it off on the 10th... ) but it's okay! Double opinions are great! Here's a list of the contents, and hopefully I'm not forgetting anything!

AOS:

I-864 (Aunt)

Aunt's taxes/W2s for the last 3 years

Copy of Aunt's birth certificate

Letter from Aunt's employer

2 Pictures of Matt

1 bank-breaking Hello Kitty check for $1,070.00 :crying:

Copy of K-1 Visa/I-94

AP:

Can you all see anything that I could possibly be missing? Also, did you just put the check in, or did you seal it in an envelope? I thought about putting it in a ziploc bag like I did the pictures, but then I thought about an envelope because that's how I did it for his K1 visa... guess I want your opinions, too.

Can't believe we're finally at this point! AND I have a job interview today! A -great- job, too! I hope you all are doing well, and hopefully things continue to go well for you all, too! Take care, and thanks in advance for all of your help!!! :D

Looks good to me! Did you read Vanessa's thread? It was the most helpful to us when filing - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

As for the check, I just clipped it to the front of all the paperwork - no envelope or anything.

Good luck on the job interview!!

Looks like you're good to go, girl! I just slipped the check into the paper clip that was holding my paperwork together, leaving it on top so it'd be the first thing they saw.

Just make sure before you send everything off that you make multiple copies. I was so glad I had them when they lost the I-864/A portion of my packet and I had to resend it.

Mathew has a phone interview on Tuesday! Wish us luck everyone!!!

Today has been a WHIRLWIND. We had originally planned to mail off our AOS packet today... until brainiac me remembered that DUUUUUH IT'S PRESIDENT'S DAY and thus there's no mail, and the post office isn't open. SO I spend the morning working on my homework. At about 8:30, a random phone number pops up on my phone, and seeing as it's incredibly early, I just let the voicemail pick it up. Lo and behold, it's Walmart calling about the application I put in almost a month ago. I call back, and she offers and interview. Now, I had that interview a few days ago, and I was fairly optimistic about getting the job, however, I have been losing sleep over whether I could actually PERFORM the job well - it's a gas station clerk at the best chain of stations in Iowa, and they are always very very hectic and busy. I decide to go ahead and take the interview at Walmart, just to see how it plays out, and my mom says "Well, I'd seriously just take whichever job lands in your lap first. A paycheck is a paycheck at this point." and I agree with her. I go in for the first interview, and proceed to have the second AND the third on the spot. They send me off for a drug test and voila! EMPLOYMENT! Plus sides? It's up to 40 hours a week, and only .5 less than I would have been making at the gas station. Downside? It's allll the way on the other side of town, so gas is going to be an issue for awhile, lol... but I don't care! I have a JOB.

Okay, so now that I've rambled on for awhile, I'm going to go before I bore you all to tears. I hope you all are doing well, and you are all in my prayers all the time! Take care!

(Oh and we're mailing AOS off tomorrow! EEEEE!!! lol)

Mathew's phone interview went pretty well. The guy said he should hear from HR in a couple of days about an on-site interview. I just hope and pray he gets this one.

Hello from Turkey.. and please forgıve any gramattıcal errors. The keyboard ıs dıffernet and the alphabet charachters are dıffernet so ıts a lıttle hard to type. I am not even goıng to worry about thıngs lıke commas and apostrophıes :)

Today ıs a double annıversary for us. February 23rd!! We met three years ago today and one year ago today was our vısa ıntervıew. I cant belıeve ıts been a year sınce our ıntervıew. We woke up thıs mornıng and were rememberıng everythıng we went through a year ago today and how nervous and exıcted we were... :):):)

Thıs has been a really fun trıp but tomorrow we wıll leave for Jordan. Accordıng to the the embassy ıt ıs stıll safe for us to go but we are watchıng the news very carefully. Jordan has only had small protests and only one had any vıolence at all but I have a tendancy to be ın countrıes when thıngs go wrong.

Kosova claıms ındependance from Serbıa.. the US Embassy ıs attacked.. Jenn ıs ın Belgrade

Some problem ın Greece... the US Embassy ıs attacked.. Jenn ıs ın Athens

Some problem wıth Ecuador and Venezuala closıng thıer boarders to Columbıa.. Jenn ıs ın Ecuador travelıng to Columbıa

The orange polıtıcal party demandıng rıghts ın Ukraıne.... you guessed ıt.. Jenn ıs ın Kıev

It has gotten to the poınt that the ınternatıonal employees that work for me have asked me to stop comıng to theır country :) We wıll see what happens ın Jordan but my plan ıs stıll to get on the plane tomorrow. Fuat and I really want to see Amman and Petra so I am hopıng ıf thıngs get bad there ıt ıs after we leave.

As for work.... The park closed ın November and Fuat has been lookıng sınce then. No luck. Its very frustratıng because there seem to be hundreds of jobs ın our area but thousands of people lookıngç,. Fortunaltey he can go back to work at the park ın one month. He gets frustrated but then I remınd hım of everyone who doesnt have a seasonal job to go back to and those of you that have been here for so long and lookıng.

Krystal hows the baby news?

Kayla hows the news on the phone ıntervıew?

Maggıe congrats on the green card

Has anyone heard from Seb lately?

Im glad to be able to get on here more.. I have mıssed hearıng from all of you !!!

Well, we have some interesting/silly news to report today. Mathew checked the voicemail earlier today and apparently we had missed a phone call from Rockwell Collins about a different job, wanting him to interview for it. Sad part is, it was from Valentines Day. So Mathew started freaking out and kept trying to get a hold of that guy, and he finally did. The guy said that HR had already ruled Mathew out since they couldn't get a hold of him but he was going to pull some strings and see if he could get him back in and would call back at 3 for a phone interview.

Interview went really well and now Mathew has been assigned some "homework". The interviewer wants Mathew to send him an email explaining his programming processes in detail and then he'll call him tomorrow to set up an on-site interview. We have really good feelings about this one because his interviewer kept saying how good of a match Mathew was for the job and that he sounded very experienced. So fingers crossed again! This will be his 3rd time interviewing for Rockwell and I'm really hoping that 3rd time IS a charm!

Haven't heard from Carrier Corp yet, but that may take a couple of days. We'll see.

Miss you guys!

So fingers crossed again!

FINGERS, TOES, EYES, ARMS, LEGS! ALL OF THEM ARE CROSSED! Good luck! :D

I'm a little ticked at the moment because I got overnight express on our AOS packet, and USPS website hasn't updated to say whether it was delivered on time or not. Last thing it says is "Processed through Sort Facility, February 23, 2011, 6:07 am, CHICAGO, IL 60701" and it was supposed to be delivered by noon today! GRRRRRRRR. If it doesn't change soon, I'm going to have to put a stop payment on the check or something. :( I really hope it got there okay. I mean, I have access to all the stuff that was in it, so I'm not worried if I have to send it again, but yeesh....

Hope you all are well!

I just realized that, while I had Matt WRITE his name at the bottom of the G325-A (the part that says PRINT your name and Alien Number), I forgot to have him SIGN it where it says to sign. I even checked the form SIX TIMES to make sure it was all right, yet I just realized it wasn't signed.

I feel like crying right now, because now I know we're going to get an RFE... like we really needed to wait any longer. :(

Just checking in on everyone. Hope you all are better than I've been. I can't seem to keep myself off the injured list. I rolled my ankle (BADLY) a few days ago and ended up having to call in on my 4th day of work, and it's been a struggle to get myself walking again. Luckily, I can now, so the next two days (although painful) should be fine for work. I managed to shut my fingertips in the window on my car this morning, too, but nothing too terrible happened other than my fingers hurting most of the day...

In AOS news, we got our text messages; now just awaiting NOA1 hard copies ... and that RFE I just know is going to show up, lol.

I hope you all are well!!! :]

I feel weird double posting, but I'm curious as to how everyone is doing!! We were buried all the way on page 6! I hope you all are well!!!

In some great news: We were transferred to CSC! :D No RFE after all, apparently, which is leading us to believe he actually DID sign the form... or they are just being very nice and not caring. Finally! The last September09 filer to go through the process and it's almost done!

I really do hope you all are doing well!!!!
