I just saw this Maggie and I swear I could just hug you for letting me know. I emailed the consulate again and I hope they actually reply back to me. The congressmans aide still hasn't contacted me back so I don't know what's going on with that part of it.

And as if this month hasn't already been a wonderful one, I may be going on strike tomorrow. I should know here in the next couple of hours.

My work is union. And we ran out of contract last night. But they reached a tentative agreement at about 11:30 so no strike!

I'm heading out tomorrow or monday and doing the drive down to SC with my dad. I'll keep you guys posted. I still got a lot to do.. bleh. Hope my cats don't hate me too much after this trip .. and then they have to stay with a pet nanny for 5 days until we get our house.. oy. lol

OH! I keep forgetting to ask you - where's Kenyth stationed at? My dad (ex-Marine) was stationed in SC! In fact, I was born in SC! (Charleston, to be more precise)

So many posts to catch up on, but haven't had time.. as seems to be the normal case lately. I apologize if I have not send congratulations or good wishes to people who need it.

I see a lot of new people have joined our thread and I am happy to see you all here. Sorry I haven't been on enough to get to know you.

Now the reason for my posting today. I need to talk to a few of you and it's important... NOT that I want to cut some people out of this little conversation, but there is a small group of us that have been together from day one and I have some news I need to share with all of them. Eventually I will post it here, so no one feels left out.. but for right now it is a bit of a private thing, but something I need to share with my VJ family. For those of you I don't really know.. please forgive me for not including you in this right now.

I hope evrything is okay.

We have had a diificult time in our plans due to the Volcano situation.

David was supposed to fly to Croatia, but cannot. Depending on the Volcano situation Ancica may not be able to fly to the states this week as planned.

It is upsetting and distressing, it is the reality of the situation. We are making the best of it by accepting the reality of the situation and staying responsive and alert to options as they develop. We are grateful for all that we have and will have, and thinking of those stranded in airports around the world.

The unexpected and unfortunate are part of life. By accepting reality as it is we can let go of plans that will not be, and allow that energy that was being spent on hanging on to yesterdays expecations be available to respond to tomorrows opportunites.

We are not happy at all about the international situation of flight disruption but we can do nothing about it. We simply ask for strength and guidance to chose well as the situation develops. Difficult times are also growth opportunites for us to respond to each other in loving and supportive ways to make the lemonade from the lemons.

I haven't turned on a television in days and am only hearing about volcano things now.. I have NO IDEA what all this is, but this is the second time today I have heard something about a volcano.. I guess I need to try to get some news.

Karen how's it going with your honey's english classes? Hope he's adjusting well.

Jenn, wait he's here now and you guys are married so JennFuat I hope you have a blessed week and that Fuat's adjusting is going smooth.

As for myself, I was sick all weekend but the best part of it is that today is monday and I'm calling the doctor's office to get my results, I literally can't wait!
