Okay! I am entered in the system. As of December 9, 2009, they have received my package and entered my information.

They have not scheduled me an interview date yet though.

I'm a little scared - maybe they are going to be requesting more information

Lord have mercy that took them a long time. I didn't send my packet out until December 5th, and I've been in their system since like the 9th. Did you not overnight yours?

But hey, hey. We were put in the system on the same day! Maybe they'll batch schedule for our day and you and Mathew will have your interview together!

Oh, and don't get scared. I read on the Canada forums that they schedule interviews in batches and that they're done with January scheduling so they're gonna take a few weeks break so they can build up enough to make interviews. Every time I've called they've told me our file looks great we're just waiting to be scheduled.

You can bet on Feb!

We were risk takers and booked our stuff before we even filed for our K-1. A little crazy, but we did it far in advance so that we'd have enough time. I was a little worried, but it looks like now we'll have plenty of time.

Are you planning on taking a copy of your wedding invitation to your interview?? I think I'm going to send Mathew one of ours when I get them ordered.

And who knew that the police report was going to be so expensive. He called today and they told him it'd be $40! He also scheduled his medical for January 5th. He's been a good boy today. :luv: :luv: I just love the kitty face!

You guys are so ahead of me. lol. I am not doing up invitations until I have an interview date. We have people coming from Canada and some from California and Indiana. We need to be sure of the date so they can make arrangements.

Police Cert here is 30$ but I have yet to get it, because I think it says it needs to be within 30 days from the interview date (but I could be imagining that)

Also..I have to fly to Montreal for my medical so I am going to see if I can get it around my interview date so that this doesn't cost me a fortune.

He has been a good boy, you should give him a cookie =) teehee

Well we're doing everything early because it keeps me from going crazy and it's more convenient for us to have everything already done. Besides, with his family coming from so far away we have to give advanced notice. I'm going to send out Save the Dates this month so they'll all have plenty of time to get time off approved from work and make travel arrangements. Maybe I'll just send him a save the date instead of an invitation. Those wont be going out until about 2 months before the wedding anyways.

You just don't know what I've had to go through to be a good boy. But I'm glad he decided to listen. :)

go to savethedatemagic.com. We're getting 100 for $48.00 and they'll let you customize the text, which is awesome since he needs them in french!

We are also doing bilingual save the dates since I have to give the Americans plenty of notice for the 2nd ceremony being held in Italy next September.

I had a friend create them and the print costs were pennies a piece..

I received notice from NVC that they recieved my case and of course I just HAD to call and the very polite young lady informed me that my case was sent out to the consulate on 12/10. I'm not even going to try and track, I have enough stress. Since I'll be there in 1 week, we can check on the way from the airport if packet 3 is at the post office.

Yay!!! I agree, it's probably already at the consulate!!! Go to your embassy's webpage on VJ and it should tell you what's in Packet 3. I suggest that while you're together you fill them out so that you'll already be prepared to just send that packet 3 right back out!!

And don't stress! You're seeing your soon-to-be hubby! :)

I said goodnight but here I go again.

I'm pretty sure they received it already and if not, they should receive it by the time I get there. I already know what's in packet 3 and we already printed them out. So when I'm there we can fill them out. Matter of fact, I must fill them out with him! I believe he's a dummy (like me in math) when it comes to doing business on time. Ugh, MEN! Sorry guys but for the most part it's true!

You're preaching to the choir about the form thing. I was so scared to let Mathew fill those out by himself. I had him scan them and everything so I could look. Good thing, too, cause there were mistakes! Not saying that women don't make mistakes, but we usually look things over about a million times before sending stuff out.

But to be honest, Mathew is pretty good about everything. I'm very lucky to have him. He's my prince charming!! :luv:
