Called NVC... apparently we forgot to include scans of passport photos for our DS-230. Doh!

I haven't sent my 230 packet yet, but I had no clue that you had to also scan the passport photos! So you send the actual ones and a scanned copy...wow!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

We sent our DS230 package on October 16 and I have called NVC today and an OP told me they didn 't recive nothing and another OP told me maybe it is in building but it is nothing in the system yet, so this warry me should I send another ds230 package or wate

10-29-2009 log in fail - case complete confirmed official by OP

11-10-2009 medical exam passed

11-03-2009 papers forwarded to sarajevo embassy

12-09-2009 INTERVIEW SCHEDULED visa approved

14 December POE

29 December got green card

30 December got driving license

i think kball is doing electronic processing, which he would have to scan. in my husband's packet, we just included copies of his passport pages and 2 passport sized photos.

For everyone who is dealing with Islamabad (ISL)- I got an email from the Warden today that they are temporairly suspended services for a week- with all these push backs will come rescheduling- now I am afraid I might not even get an interview in December :(

It's taking them forever to review my DS 230, I sent it on October 15 and they acknowledged having received it on October 19th, they haven't reviewed it at all. I just want to make sure this gets reviewed soon, but I haven't sent the AOS package yet. I am more worried about DS 230 right now than AOS.

That is weird with your 230- I sent mine around the same time they acknowledged it on the 19th and they processed it by the 23rd so I spoke to a operator today and they confirmed the packet was complete. My AOS got there today so I am going to give it a week. You should be hearing on your DS 230 this week!

08/18/09 - hubby emailed back ds3032

08/22/09 - Aos showed" paid "

08/22/09- IV bill generated ( and paid)

08/23/09- Ds 3032 accepted

08/24/09 -IV bill showed "paid"

08/25/09- Aos overnight

08/28/09- 864 got to nvc

10/01/09- hubby sent ds230

10/06/09- Rfe(grrrrr)

10/08/09 - resend -864

10/09/09- 230 got accepted

10/19/09 - LOG IN FAIL, FAIL,FAIL,FAIL,FAIL ( i did not even know what was going on !!!!!) MY BODY JUST FROZE IN FRONT OF THEPC !!!!

10/20/09- It is "official " per op "case complete" OMG !!!!

11/02/09- INTERVIEW date assigned , email received from nvc (Thankyou ! thankyou ! thankyou ! god!!!!!!! thankyou every one

11/04/09- package left nvc

11/16/09- Medical done and waiting for result

12/10/09- VISA APPROVED (slip given appointment for tuesday to pick up passport )

12/15/09- VISA ON HAND ( praise god )

qhayder, I am freaking out. Now that you told me yours was received on the same day, I am wondering why isn't mine processed. So I called them right now and they said it's still under review. Oh please pray for me :( I really want it to be processed today or by this week at the latest. I don't have much time to waste.

No, you definetly do not need to send another 230 package with all the originals!!! If you sent it and you traked that it was received by them... it is under review... It takes 10 - 14 days from receipt for approval... Once it is approved, you have a case complets... It has only been there less than a week... Dont press the panic button yet... The operators cannot see what the adjucators are working on...

No, you definetly do not need to send another 230 package with all the originals!!! If you sent it and you traked that it was received by them... it is under review... It takes 10 - 14 days from receipt for approval... Once it is approved, you have a case complets... It has only been there less than a week... Dont press the panic button yet... Christeen, do you have any idea why mine has not been processed yet, while qhayder who sent it on the same day, same embassy, has already been reviewed and accepted. I know I should be patient and give it a little more time. They only received it on October 19th. It's just so hard to wait. I feel like you know a lot about this process, so thought I should ask you.

i wouldn't send in another ds230 either. mine was updated on the avr system on 10/22, but when i spoke with an operator she said they haven't received it.
