They already have your SSN and if you sent a check for the petition they have your bank account number also (and routing number) so what are you afraid of? I suppose it would not matter if you cross them out. A bank letter is usually preferred, but if you cannot get that then you can use bank statements

Your paystubs show your full SSN? Wow, I thought most payroll processors had gotten away from that... mine only show the last 4 digits, the rest are asterisks.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Oops! That's what I get for posting at 12:30 am.

But, while we're on the topic of bank statements, those don't routinely display SSN either...

Paystubs are in the title of the thread, that's where I got that. I knew I wasn't (that) crazy!

I sent my statements as is, they have my check so no need to cross out the number. Yes, all the docs were given back to my fiancee (now wife!). Make sure she realizes how sensitive the documents are and not to just leave them lay around!

I did sent a Credit card statement copy (cause I lost a receipt!) as proof of the hotel stay and i did cross out most of the account number. Consul did not seem to notice or care.

Good luck

I went to my bank for a tally of deposites for the past year with the teller's letter on letterhead and indicating the total of the deposites and signature with date. I tried to eradicate the bank account numbers on the printed out deposites, but there were so many and even using a Sharpie if you wanted to see the number you could hold it up to a light and still make it out.
