He shoots regularly at the local firing range, and his sermon two weeks ago was on "God, Guns, Gospel and Geometry." I think this is a complicated enough issue without introducing firearms into the equation as some sort of BS symbolic message. To me, it seems vaguely threatening too - especially given that emotions seem to be running high at these events to say the least.
