Do people regularly take their guns to church for example?

In some places, yes (seriously).

Some churches have retractable roofs so that the congregation can fire their guns into the air at the end of every hymn and prayer ;)

Dude, they do. Take their guns that is.

I bet.

If I had several guns, I'd keep one in a cereal box - just in case of home invasion and the perps insist that I make breakfast for them.

I got your breakfast, RIGHT HERE!

You will never own a gun its not in your DNA. But its alright to dream and play make believe. I feels good until you wake up.

Well I never, guns are tied to human DNA?

Who knew!

Somebody saw District 9 recently.

Hmmm or Videodrome ;)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ken Pagano, the pastor of the New Bethel Church here, is passionate about gun rights. He shoots regularly at the local firing range, and his sermon two weeks ago was on "God, Guns, Gospel and Geometry." And on Saturday night, he is inviting his congregation of 150 and others to wear or carry their firearms into the sanctuary to "celebrate our rights as Americans!" as a promotional flier for the "open carry celebration" puts it.

I think this is a complicated enough issue without introducing firearms into the equation as some sort of BS symbolic message. To me, it seems vaguely threatening too - especially given that emotions seem to be running high at these events to say the least.

I agree. I don't think anyone from any "side" should be carrying a weapon openly at these events. It's just moronic and reduces the discussion to grade school behavior.

if the person(s) are legally carrying it's a non-issue. that is ... until someone else decides to make it an issue.

True. That reminds me of the assumptions made by others when I holla holla with my blingage and wear my Ecko jeans halfway down my rear end. And my tags-on hat sideways yo.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

the imagination went into overdrive ... could see you wearing garb this under your lab coat. :P

concealed should not be seen.

as for open carry ... if it's legal there is no problem. who knows ... there might be 30 or more concealed to the one not.

Guns in churches - the dudes in the old Westerns would never have approved of such disgraceful behaviour.

are you watching too many late night movies again? ;)
