i got inside the embassy at 6:45 am and got my number about 8:30 am. i was facing the prescreener at 10 am. he asked for pictures, NBI, asked about my annulment. how we met, last time we saw each other and then he ended up interviewing me more about my ex rather than about my husband now :blink: he asked for ITR but i told him husbands income is tax exempted. i gave him proof of income. he asked if we had joint sponsor, i said no. he wrote it down on paper which made me really nervous. then he told me to wait for my number to be called. after a few mins, i was called to room 29. the young female consul was the nicest, kindest, most charming consul ive met. she asked the basic questions, name, bday, if i was gonna work in the usa. she looked at the pics, asked how many people attended the wedding. she looked at the documents and then kept looking at her computer. she never made a fuss about ITR , she was very easy on me. then she said everything looks good , she told me to secure an NBI clearance using my ex's name, i told her i have it . i gave it to her and she looked pleased. she then said, ok your visa is approved. i was done 11:30 am.

sept. 26, 2008----got case # from a live operator

oct. 6, 2008 ------received AOS bill/paid online

oct. 7, 2008 ------shows PAID

oct. 14,2008 -----IV fee generated/ paid online

oct. 15,2008 -----shows PAID

oct. 16,2008 -----mailed DS230 overnight

oct. 23,2008 ---- RFE

nov. 3,2008 ----- case complete

nov. 26,2008 --- medical exam

aug. 14,2009 --- remedical finally, passed

aug. 24, 2009 -- interview , passed

aug. 29, 2009 -- visa in hand

sept. 24, 2009 -- POE LAX

congrats sasha! can u send me a PM once you receive your visa. Im just trying to figure out an estimated time for my hubby's arrival. His interview is on wednesday the 26th. just want to know about how many days before he receives the visam, assuming he'll pass the interview.. HOpefully!

2009-07-06: DS-230 cover sheet available, DS-230 mailed to NVC

2009-07-10: NVC started reviewing the DS-230 package according to AVR

2009-07-15 : Case in review

2009-07-20: Log in Failed! WOOHOO!

2009-07-21 : Case complete

2009-07-26 : NVC e-mailed an interview date for Sept.22

2009-08-10 : Case left NVC

2009-08-10 : DHL shipped file

2009-08-17 and 18 : Medical scheduled

2009-08-18: request for Interview to be re-scheduled - unsuccessful (physical file not in Manila yet)

2009-08-19: called USEM again, rescheduled date granted

2009-08-26: new interview date-- PASSED!! YIPEE!

2009-08-29: Visa in hand

2009-09-02: Seminar

2009-09-05: POE Finally after 5 years of being away from each other!

2009-09-15: SS card received. Job hunting begins ;-)

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Oh my dear Sasha! I was praying for you and for your approval. You're such a sweet and nice person and you deserve all the goodness that life could possibly offer. After all that you've (we've) been through, you made it. I want to say so much good things to you but I will wait for the time that you will be here in the US. My son is almost done his fifth month of medication and I am really excited to the time that finally our mental, financial and emotional burdens will be over. Saka na lang tayo magkuwentuhan.
