I'd continue working to finish the project I'm on but after that, I'd ask to take a long leave of absence.

I'd buy a big house or building that would be large enough to accommodate relatives and friends should they ever need a place to live for awhile, but I'd have it designed into separate areas, with large common areas so everyone can gather when needed.

After taking a leave of absence, I'd buy a small camper van and drive all over this great country, meet different people.

I'd set up a grant program for relatives and friends, where they could request money. I'd have a trust fund that would be managed so that it would never run dry. Relatives and friends would have to understand that there's simply not enough to give everyone a lot of money, so the grants would be distributed based on their circumstances and needs.

If there was any money left, I'd like to buy some farm land and find some families that would like to live and work on the farm.

Would I be eligible to tap that grant program too?

You sure could, Spooks! Being that you are one of my homies here on VJ.

If you win the lottery, what would you do?

Be very thankful to God...this will not solve all problems but could eliminate a few of them

Would you quit your job right away?

I don't think I would just up and quit..maybe get them 6 months notice.

Would you continue your job, because you like your colleagues and the money is not the main reason you work there?

I don't want the lottery winning to be my only income. We will need to have some business or revenue stream. I go back and forth about continuing to work.

Would you start you own business and fullfill your dream of something you always wanted to do?

Yes...real estate renting properties.

Or buy houses all over the world and travel? Or just one big house and settle down?

Would you buy lots of fancy cars, a yacht and a private plane? Would you donate to charity?

I would want to make sure our families are all set with paid houses..and some type of revenue stream. I plan to give most of the winnings to help others.

Oh I know what we would do.... :)

* Pay off all debt and the house.

*Pay off my student loans and buy us both new cars.

*Buy a home and land in Nova Scotia...or build our dream house on land we've bought.

*Put the majority of the winnings in an account that we can live off of quite comfortably.

*Pay for hubby's citizenship, work on my PR application status for Canada with the focus of becoming a Cdn citizen

(both of us want dual status)

*Set up a college fund for our daughter

*Build a memorial garden for those who have lost babies...build another one for those who have lost loved ones to cancer.

*Pay for flying lessons for hubby...and then buy him his own plane, one of his choice.

*Buy a few horses for our daughter...and pay for riding lessons.

*Donate to animal shelters directly...not a specific organisation. We want to make sure the animal shelters get the full donation.

*TRAVEL!!!!! Anywhere and everywhere...at least where it's safe to travel.

*I would probably still teach, but not in the traditional way. Hubby would probably NOT work. :)

*Give my daughter a trust fund...to do with as she pleases.

*I'm sure there's other things we'd like to do...

sara

I have a feeling that getting a loved one there wouldn't be real difficult if your bank account was filled to the brim.

Would I quit my job? Of course not. That would mean I'd have to call or go in. I wouldn't do either, ever again.

What would I do with it?

Split it into six pieces:

One to divide equally among my children.

One to divide equally among my siblings.

One to give to my church.

One to give to charity.

One to invest.

One to SPEND.

I would pay for all the liberals here on VJ one way tickets to whereever they wanted to go. Outside the US of course. :P
