I wasnt given a visa after the interview for K-1 because the police clearance i had submitted was invalid. After i can secure the asked ducoment and hand it over to the to the embassy, will an interview be scheduled again. Any info what would be next?

Ill appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Usually, but not always, once the missing document is provided the visa can be issued without further interview. Do not make them wait too long.

What do you mean by "invalid"? When did the embassy tell you that there was a problem with your police cert? What did they say exactly? We need more information. If this happened before your interview, one answer is appropriate, if this happened during your interview then that changes things.

If they said they approved your visa but they are still waiting on the right Police Certificate, then they are most likely going to mail you the visa once you submit the Certificate. If you weren't approved yet, then I guess you will have to go through another interview. This happened to a friend of mine, hers was mailed without another interview. Good luck!

They don't mail visas at the Bangkok embassy. If you already went thought the interview and if this was their only problem, you will need to return to the embassy to submit the cert. They should have given you a slip of paper instructing you what days and times you can return to submit the evidence. After you do that, if all is well, they well give you another slip instructing you when to come back and pick up your visa.

I can't answer for Bangkok specifically, but something similar happened to me. When I submitted my Irish police cert at the interview, the CO noticed that it stated my birthdate correct, but the birth year was 2 years later than when I was born. That made the cert invalid and the embassy could not accept it- I felt so stupid for not checking it beforehand! I went back to the Irish police, got the cert changed, rang the embassy, they told me to come by the next day with the new cert and issued my visa there and then.

It doesnt look like there is any doubt that you were interviewed. You should be able to obtain the police report & return it to complete the requirements. Once that is done they will take your passport & have you return 3 days later for it with the visa in it. This must be done as soon as possible.

If you have any concerns it would be a good idea to call them directly. Sometimes it can be difficult to get thru to a human. If that is the case buy a pin number at any Thai post office & you will be able to call a direct line.

How old was the police report? There have been many posts here about how long they are good for.

Did you pay the visa fee?

Ok. Didn't know how it was in Thailand. Thanks for clarifying.

Thank you for all your reply. Its highly appreciated.

For more detail. Im staying in Thailand but a Filipino citizen, I need to get Police Clearance from the Philippines. In the Philippines we have Police Clearance and NBI(national bureau of investigation) certificate. Since the checklist mentioned about Police Clearance i get Police clearance. During inteview, the consul said the official certificate is NBI.

I was given paper instructions how to secure it and advice to come back on certain days of the week if the said document is already available.

I'm hoping to get the visa soon and be with my Love.

What would be next? Your kidding.

Next would be to include the " details" so you could recieve a usable answer. The embassy already answered your question in its instruction with the interview.
