She could have used a cattle prod to make it a bit easier.

Sister Nagi is wise.

Mom: "now walk Christopher and stfu, or I will shove this up your azz"

Christopher: "eeeeeeeeewwwww mom, it's the same one my dad uses on you at night!!!" :dead:

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

IMO as far as the leash goes I think there is situations where it might be justified but 9 out of 10 times I see a unruly kid that seems to have had very little discipline and the leash is just used to make the parents life easier, simply wrong. I have seen well behaved kids that don't need these leashes. I think it says a lot about there parenting and I personally would be embarrassed to use these on my kids.

Have you every had a two-year-old? There's a reason why they call them the terrible twos. I used to judge people, too, on the behavior of their children. My daughter is certainly not the best behaved two-year-old, but she is actually relatively well behaved. Still, sometimes I feel like karma is biting me on the azz after all those times I rolled my eyes at "bad parenting."

And children are absolutely at their worse in the presence of their parents out in public. Take their parents and/or the public out of the equation, and they are often little angels. That's the case with my daughter as well as with most of my nieces and nephews. There are a few who are just b-a-d, but most of them shape up when their parents leave. My parents and siblings and my daughter's teachers all say she is very well behaved, but she embarrasses the hell out of me in public sometimes and she's a sassy little thing at times when it's just the two of us.

Am I the only one who thinks this is totally staged? I don't think everyone would just stand around if it happened in real life. Plus the kid isn't screaming and flailing around.

That was my first impression to. Seems odd to film it but not do anything to stop the woman.

I rarely see anyone intervening when a "parent" is "disciplining" his or her child.

I would have intervened, especially if I were the store manager. "Excuse me, Ma'am. We have a strict policy against dragging children on the ground."

Well dam if I knew I was going to get that sort of answer from you I would not of spent the time and energy to point out where I am coming from on this issue.

I'm guessing you never saw Blazing Saddles

What are you talking about, come on! This has nothing to do with if I seen the movie or not, she was trying to be funny when I had givin a lengthy answer to my position on this topic. In hindsight I should of seen that in no way was she even trying to be serious when she said why do I hate leashes and was only playing off the "why do you hate" retort that I think Charles started.

I have seen the movie.

You make some good points, I will take them into consideration the next time I see this situation.

I reserved my cattle prod for the more serious 3 hour train/plane journeys B)

One time I saw a lady dragging her kid through the parking lot of the grocery store screaming that she was going to beat her with her shoe if she didn't "shape up". I was like #######? It always shocks me when I see people grab their small children and yank them across the aisle or closer to them. I could understand being so forceful if a bus was coming or something. I dunno. I think there must be better ways to get them to behave.

I didn't even mention the leash thing. My younger cousin has one that's a dog backpack. She's 3 and thinks it's fun to wear, but she only has it on in crowded places.
