hey guys,

so, i knew that being married saved on your car insurance, but i didnt know that you could list a spouse that is not even driving yet( i just never thought of it lol).

I was checking rates to add my husband on my progressive policy today and playing with quotes.

I noticed that there is an option to just list a spouse and one of the options is "out of the country".

Anyway, i listed Y today as a non liscenced driver and saved 13/month. I thought i would share with those who are still waiting for their spouses....any saved money is good eh?

i dont know if all insurance companies offer the "out of country" option, but progressive does!

This was something I never would have thought of, so maybe others havent either. I just wanted to share.

Gosh, maybe I need to change insurance companies. After I married, I called my insurance agent. I was told that Allstate would drop me for being married and my husband not having a US drivers license or social security number. I told him that my husband did not live here, but he said that Allstate would still drop me.

We use Farm Bureau. Full coverage on my car is $340 every six months. Liability on hubby's car (the clunker) is $127 every six months. We are both listed on both policies. I don't suppose this is too bad here in Georgia. Haven't found anything cheaper than this.
