I would recommend the Air Force. My brother entered out of high school years ago and got great training. He was able to use what he learned and got a high paying job working in the civilian field of aviation after his terms were up.

Yes I know what you are talking about. Denmark dosn't accept dual citizenship. So we really have something to think about here. Thank you for this information

Air Force has a better quality of life than the other branches. The US Air Force is the only branch that gives university credit for their training programs. However the branch of service should be determined by what job or skill he wants to learn. If I could do it over I would have picked translator or medical equipment repair.

FYI

Not true.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

If memory serves me correct.. that seems inaccurate.

I served in Both the Marines and Air Guard and it seems training from both branches were applicable as course credits.

Anyone got an opinion/ experience?

my son got college credits for the chinese courses at the presidio...he is in the army

My brother was a nuke in the Navy & he got an associates degree out of it. It depends on the college & what you did in the military (technical fields would generally get more credit than say an infantry soldier).

Who gave you the credit??? the Marines?

My post was regarding that the training / technical school that enlisted Airmen go through then allows them to get university credit from the Community College of the Air Force.

Most universities will accept some military training, but not all, and give you credit at their university. 2 different concepts.

I do believe Montery Peninsula College, among others, gives college credit basesd on military service. That was one of the colleges that offered an Associates Degree for completing OCS when I was getting my commission in the Army.
