We received the approval from NVC 2 days ago, but no NOA2 from USCIS. The online status, recorded phone status, and their records still indicate that our case is still pending. We filed in Feb 09. Anybody else had the same issue. Please share your experience. Thanks!

First off, great and wonderful that you guys are approved!

What do you mean that NVC approved it? How did they notify you? Why did they have your case if it wasnt already approved by the USCIS center.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

You need to call USCIS ASAP and tell them you need to speak to a supervisor. Be prepared to fax them a copy of the letter from NVC. You'll need the NOA2 when you adjust status so it's really important that you get a copy of that. Their records are useless. My interview is tomorrow and their records still show that my case is pending so it's not unheard of at all. I did get a copy of my NOA2 in the mail though so you may have to ask them to send another copy. Do NOT agree to pay for it. Insist that it's their fault.

But congrats!

You have two petitions in the works. Which one went to NVC and on to the Consulate?

YEP. It sounds like you got the standard letter from NVC saying they received the K3 file from USCIS(after the service center approves it) and they will be forwarding it to the consul. If you are going the K3 route, you will need your NOA2 from the service center(USCIS) when you adjust status

We got approval for I29F dont know anything about I30

NVC would not have contacted you yet for the I-130. They don't send out letters about it. You'd only know weeks down the line when they send you the DS-3032 and the AOS fee bill. If you are only pursuing the K-3 then it doesn't matter, but odds are your I-130 was approved at the same time as the I-129f. Call NVC and enter your USCIS case number for the I-130 to see if a case number has been assigned for that one as well. If it has, and you want to consider the CR-1 you should speak to an operator and give them your email addresses.
