Nice short week and I hope today flies by too

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

BTW, did they ask your husband for fingerprints/biometrics when they did the ead?

went to the local uscis office and they asked if he did fingerprints yet...I was like, "No"...

spent 1.5 hours just so he can tell me he put in an inquiry via email... hello, I could have done that myself from home... :ranting:

since C's hubby and Yazied didnt have to do biometrics I assume that when you file a stand alone EAD, its not required...only when its connected to the AOS. Im sorry, I hop you hear soon hun

Just checking in - sorry it's been sooo long! Congrats Seren! Any news CnT?

As for us, life is busy right now. Diego is in school from 9 - 3 and then working from 6 - 10 during the week. He got his license last week. I'm still working on getting my mom's old car registered, so he can drive it. For now we're sharing my company car (nice benefit that spouses are permitted to drive the company car). It's the last month of the fiscal year for my company so I'm doing my best to work miracles. haha. Can't remember if I told y'all that my company is being bought out. Nothing will happen for another 4 - 8 months, so I'm not freaking out yet. It could be a good excuse to move back to the South.

hey everyone.

wow C, you have been busy. I hope you dont have to worry about the buy out. Its a bit stressful because they ALWAYS say nothing will change. :secret: liars

You have such marketability though, no worries for you ;)

NOthing too exciting here.....Im taking monday off to take Y to get his permit and get my car windows tinted :dancing:..oh ya and to sleep in for once :devil:

He's working 3 nights a week while looking for another job. I hoep to get some good lessons in on the weekends once he gets his permit so he can start driving :dance:
