We have our interview in 9 days in Frankfurt and one more question appears:

Does the German police record needs to be translated in English???

I do not have experience with this, but recall reading that they must be translated in English. I'm sure someone else has a better and more specific answer though.

Well I dont know either, maybe you have to call your embassy and ask them...its a good question, ill ask the same to the embassy, if i need to translate it from portuguese to english...

No. Police reports in German or English are acceptable. Any other languages need to be translated.

Police certificates not in English or German must be accompanied by a certified translation. If there is an “Eintragung” or entry on a German police certificate, the record must also be accompanied by a certified English translation.

Do you have the police certificate or the "record".

Claudeth had to have her German police clearance translated to English for the embassy in Manila :D

Hi,

Your police document should be fine in German--as I recall my husband did not have his translated. You could call the consulate to double check, but your documents should be ok in German.
