Approved I-129F received at NVC, but no NOA2 yet?

So we received a letter from the National Visa Center yesterday explaining that they had received an approved I-129F visa for me and would forward it to the Montreal consulate within a week. Awesome!

The weird part is that the Case Status website for USCIS doesn't actually show any updates on the case since February, when we initially filed it, and we haven't received an NOA2 in the mail yet. I'm wondering if the officer simply forgot to scan it in when he was adjudicating it, and if so, whether or not that will affect us in the future or how to fix it.

In any case, woohoo, through immigration, on to the State Department :)

I would be calling to ensure they mailed it to the right address. You will need it for the AOS.

If you can't prove they made the mistake, you will have to pay for it to be re-issued.

Congrats on the transfer :)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

The number listed on the USCIS site is 1-800-375-5283 .

(you can check your NOA1 also)

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it was the national number and not a more specific office. :)
