Advance Parole form filed with AOS

I'm filling out the I-131 to submit with the I-485 and I'm not sure what to put as an answer to question 1 of part 3, "Date of intended departure?". We don't have plans yet to travel, but rather wanted to have the Advance Parole in the event we do decide to travel before receiving a green card. Am I confused? Is Advance Parole only for when you have exact plans to travel? If not, should I just answer 'undecided'?

I was under the impression that AP was to be used for extreme circumstances requiring urgent travel while awaiting AOS. You may want to contact USCIS and ask because I would be surprised if they just gave you unconditional AP in advance. If you are successful with this, please let us know! Thanks.

I would just apply and wouldn't waste time contacting USCIS; for every call you make, you will get a different version to your question. Might be best to ask forum members who have applied for the AP without really having plans to travel, and maybe others have applied with your same circumstances; however, my personal experience is that every time we called uscis to ask a question, we got a different response.

my lawyer put "within a few weeks of permit issuance" i m not sure when but the problem is that should i send the letter from my familly that i need to travel or not?

On the form you give the reason as to whhy you need to travel; if the letters are proof of the reason, not a bad idea to enclose them; my wife had to travel b/c of business reason so we enclosed the letter that was asking for her presence back in her native country.
