Oh, believe me, I got the sarcasm thing from the beginning, it's just that given the seriousness of the crime described in the OP, I don't think it had any place in the discussion. It had the effect of downplaying the atrocity.

the bigger fact that everyone seems to be missing is that it's not classified as a racial hate crime...which is astounding to me.

They were too busy playing their clever little game... I'm sure if it had been a mob of subhuman, racist white a$$holes attacking a black family at their bbq, this thread would have gone an entirely different direction from the start.
