Oh don't worry no SoCal'ers worth their salt are going to end up moving to Texas.

Great!!! Then it's a win-win.

We're still a donor state, which along with all the other donor states prop up the real dead weights like Alaska, Alabama, Kansas and Oklahoma

then start donating to that state budget shortfall.

That makes no sense. I already pay my share - maybe the subsidized states should pay CA back all that extra federal money they've been getting.

where did you get the idea i don't pay my own way?

Calm down, it's not about you. If CA got the $1.12 for every federal tax dollar sent to Washington that Kansas gets we might not have this problem. But I guess someone has to pay for its agricultural subsidies (which 91% of CA farmers do not receive)

Wait, why is Louisiana dead weight? Thought they were still experiencing some job growth...as recently as this past spring?

It's a money pit. There will never be a return on the investment made by 'everyone else'....Never, because the local government there have proven time and time again that they are corrupt...I'm not even sure they have ever been interested in elevating New Orleans from the crime-ridden gangland it has become....

And for all the green folks out there-It would be ecologically beneficial in countless ways to return Louisiana to it's natural state of wetlands/swamps and barrier 'islands'.....jmo.
