Just got back from my trip to Canada...used my AP without incident...and came home to my GC in the mail....

So nice to be done till 2011....

Congratulations!! That is wonderful and quite fast. Our case was transferred to CSC on July 30th and we still haven't heard a

thing!

Congratulations to everyone that has received their GC!!! It is wonderful to see this process coming closer to an end!!!

Congratulations to all those pressing forward, and God's speed to all those who have hit snags!!! Olga, Liza and I are blessed, as we have gone thus far without a snag!!! I wish all others the same, We went to our interview today, and Olga and Liza were approved, their Green cards should arrive in 2-3 weeks!!! Good Luck to all those still waiting!!!

Hey guys,

Just also wanted to report that I used my AP to go back to England the other week. Returning was a fine. I handed the 2 pieces of paper to the officer, they did a couple of things then sent me into the room for processing on the computer. The lady stamped my passport with a new stamp and handed me back the 2 APs, good to go.

Upon my return home I received my interview letter! Interview in Garden City NY 2nd November. Have to say - am excited and mad - excited to have the interview so close but mad because I have no idea where Garden City is!! I live in Brooklyn, and I guess they don't put much thought into where is easiest to get to for us.

Oh well. I spent some time getting over my jet lag making a photobook on shutterfly of pictures spanning our relationship, as I have a free one from some promotion they were doing. It arrived yesterday and looks super cute!

Is it just me that finds it funny that one of the the first things people do when they get their GC is leave the USA?

I am going over the pond next month so I not criticizing anyone just quietly giggling at the irony of it.

How many others have plans to visit home soon?

We also have an interview in Garden City on October 29, and we live in Brooklyn as well. Because we don't have a car we're going to get there by train and a bus. I wish it doesn't rain like today, it's going to be a looooong trip.

07/03/09 - Mailed AOS application (USPS)

07/06/09 - Arrived in Destination (Chicago)

07/18/09 - Received Notice of Appt (Biometrics)

07/20/09 - Case status online (Received & Pending)

07/21/09 - Rec'd NOA for I765 & I485

07/24/09 - Case (AOS) transferred to CSC for processing

07/31/09 - FP Appointment (done)

07/31/09 - LUD I765

08/03/09 - LUD I485

08/26/09 - Rec'd email : I765 (Card Prod Ordered)

09/04/09 - Rec'd EAD Card in the mail

@shellyalex - i looked on googlemaps and got directions. its not close by any means... i am requesting that DH gets his parent's car for the trip. our interview is a monday, and we could go back for the weekend to and then borrow the car. well we'll see! the real pain is that Federal Plaza is about 20 minutes away verses garden city which is 1hr 30. like, if i looked out the window and stoop on tip toes, i could probably see the uscis building in manhattan across the river!!

@mashamisha - let me know what you have decided - what train bus etc, and good luck to you! the journey i mean. i am sure the interview will go fine.
