My son and I had our Bio appmnts today...we were the first there, and we were out in 20 mins.

I checked my on-line status and no touches yet.

Hopefully, now that we did our bio, we'll see some activity. I am going to try and get DL and register my car this week. I am going to try and use my pending AOS app, as they say on their website that they recognize pending AOS status...I wasn't able to do it with my visa, as they only wanted to give me a 90 day DL...waste of time...I still have not trans my car ownership and it's been almost 3 months...I know they say you need to do it in lie 60 or 90 days...but it's the way their system is set up...it does not support this requirement at all :(

Well for starters he studied the Ohio laws book for a month and then took all of his notices from USCIS to the BMV, along with his passport and SSC and took the test. But they had lots of problems with the immigration part of it. You know how harder it is when you're a K-1 and nobody knows what that is ugh. But the lady worked it out after being on the phone with someone from Columbus etc for awhile. So now he has his TIPIC which looks just like a DL, has a picture and everything. Good for one year. =) I just need to add him to my insurance now so he can drive "legally." I was just shocked when the lady said he didn't need his GC or EAD to get his permanent license as he has all the pending paperwork. But we'll probably get those before he's ready to take the official test.

Just updating that we received an appointment letter for my K-2 daughter yesterday. The schedule is for September 16th. Not sure why they want to interview a nine year old child, but okay. Maybe they wanna ask her if Mommy and Daddy sleep together? But seriously. anyone else had there K-2 get interviewed and can shed some light on what they want?

Oh well, guess there is nothing to do, but make the drive and attend the 15 minutes of hell.

My 30 days of no bio appointment notice was up today so I called the USCIS (I called Friday, but they said I had to call back today). I got an enquiry number and they said if I don't hear anything back on it in 45 days, that I should call again.

Anyone else have to do this? If so, how long did it take them? I'm hoping nowhere near 45 days. You'd think they would have their own internal triggers that would tell them, "Hey, this I485 application hasn't had a biometrics appointment sent out, and it was received 2 weeks ago". If I didn't call, they would probably never send it to me...

They told us the same thing, but I'm confused by what some others on here have said - do they mean 45 days from the time we made the inquiry? Or 45 days from when we filed? I think it's the first, which stinks

We called Aug 12 and haven't heard anything yet. But there have been a lot of touches on the case.

I bet there are internal triggers tho. For example, my husband's I-765 was touched but obviously they can't proceed unless there's a biometrics done. However they could have just been touching because of my call too. But both the I-485 and I-765 have gotten touches in the past couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted.

They told me 45 days from today. Which is kind of a huge time window. My cases havent been touched since a day or two after they first appeared in the system. Hopefully you get your bio appointment soon! I'm hoping my previous I485 through employment that has been sitting there for a few years doesn't make my current one take longer... I'll keep posting about my status as well so we can see what happens with our cases.
