Onur received his Advanced Parole documents in the mail today!

Wow that's fast! I'm 10 days behind you on my NOA's... so maybe in about 10 days to 2 weeks I may get my EAD or AP...so exciting! :)

It would be nice to finally drive back to Toronto for a visit :)

I rec'd an email notification stating that my file is now pending at CSC...

As for Bio's on a K2...hope my explanation made sense, I was told even under 14 they do 1 print (I think a thumb print) and photo. My son will love that, at 5 years old he is all about the attention and secret agent stuff...he'll get a kick out of that for sure lol...

Also, I too noticed that people who filed in the beginning of June are getting GC's...that would mean in about 8 weeks for me...I hope I don't get an RFE on the lack of I-693...I just sent a copy of the Vacc Supp, but i've seen a few people get RFE's for that...my son was up for a follow up shot on his Hep B, so I hope it goes through...I figure even if I get an RFE, it may delay things by about a month...I'm in no rush on my GC...i've been able to get by on everything else...my AP is what I really want.

The State i'm in, allows for a DL if you have a valid I-94, but only till it expires. So I will try to get my DL with a pending AOS application as they list it on their website as a form of eligibility. I hope tey don't give me problems, as I have yet to get an American DL or register my car and i've already been here for 2 months.

I also changed my address with my AOS application, as we had moved to another address when I arrived (different then the one they had on file for my K1 app). But we have now moved into our new home...I don't want to mess the situation up and not rec've my GC, so I will wait to change it again until after I get my GC...I have access to both locations as we still own both properties...

This whole immigration process is like a full time college course! lol :)

Ok, update: I called this morning, as today was the 30-day mark of not receiving a Biometrics appointment. FYI to others who were asking - I referred to the date on the notice as them RECEIVING the file, which was July 12, not the NOA2 notice date, which was July 15. They didnt' seem to be picky about it. She just asked when did I send it in, so I said July 12.

Anyway, they took a lot of info down - Alien number, name, address, email addy, phone numbers where my hubby could be reached, etc. She said she was submitting a "Non-delivery of other notice" which would be sent to the "national" office and then they will look into it. She said to wait now 45 days before inquiring again, to give them time - but stressed that it may NOT take anywhere near 45 days, that's just a safeguard. She said we may hear something much sooner, possibly even by email, so be on the lookout. Then she gave me a really long confirmation number for this transaction.

A friend of mine had a missing biometrics and had to contact them at the 30 day mark and then she heard pretty quickly (within a week maybe?) from them.

I did mention that we were worried it got lost in the mail, but she indicated that an appointment hadn't been sent out. So I can't blame the mail. USCIS is just slow in this case. She also said this was going to hold everything up (EAD, GC production, etc), so this was important.

So that's the latest! Hope it helps everyone else who is wondering about their biometrics appointment whereabouts

Thanks for the info!!! That means I have 10 more days before I can call. I hope you get your appointment notice soon! I'm guessing they just screwed up, put us in the wrong pile, and then once you call, they notice their error and immediately send you out a notice.

I don't have the NOA1 in front of me but it's the 1-800 number at the bottom of the sheet. Listen to the options for checking the status/reporting a problem with your case. There's several steps you have to go through, but overall, choose the ones that lets you report that your case if outside of processing times.

If you're friend is calling you will need to be near the phone. I called on behalf of my hubby and he had to be on the phone to give permission for them to talk to me regarding his case.

Yeah, someone elsewhere on VJ made the good point that doing a walk-in feels an awful lot like cutting in line in front of a load of people waiting their turn. So we decided to wait. He's here after all, that's all we need. :)
