I don't like the way alot of companies do business, I don't share their philosophies. I do not see myself as a prejudiced person at all with regards to anything, really. It's a house at a bargain price nothing more to me...If I liked the house, the street and it was a smart financial move-then yes, I would buy it. I answered yes on SkinnyAir.....It wasn't discriminatory-it was wanting all of the seat I pay for and to be as comfy as possible while flying.

I answer yes to this too. Not because of discrimination, but because I like the house and I can cut a $$ deal with the builder and mortgage broker. I would live in a street of gay people if I liked the area and layout of the house and I got the same discounts (50% off and reduced % on mortgage).

Just because the builder is a dickwad-no reason why I can't gouge him on discounts that benefit me from it.

You're supporting his business though.

If the 50% discount and 1% rate cut was a family's only shot at home ownership, I wouldn't judge them taking the offer. Besides, the neighborhood that results will be full of straight people, not exactly scary. It's not like he's only selling to felons.

He's not targeting felons. Any that end up there will do so by happenstance.

The only thing by 'design' will be the exclusion of homosexuals. Which, in and of itself, will not make for an unsafe or unattractive neighborhood.

You said 'supporting his business" the key word there for me is BUSINESS.

--I would hazard a guess that if I knew all the deep dark secrets/prejudices/scams or whatever for lots of business I wouldn't agree with them personally either-but-it is business. If that house that the builder has is one I want-I'm going to buy it and at a discount. That's BUSINESS, it's nothing personal ( thanks Donald Trump).

If the builder is predjudiced against homosexuals. That's HIS CHOICE...it's not my POV. My POV is a nice house at a good price that will do well on resale.

You said "choice".....People's POV is not up to me to change.... and it's unlikely it would change even if I tried. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind or POV here, either. ....Like you said it's a CHOICE...and MY PERSONAL choice I would still buy the house because it's a good deal..Maybe your CHOICE would be that you wouldn't buy it-and that's OK too. I'm not going to try and change your mind about that either.
